I had YogNog a few years ago and loved it then they didn't have it the year before last so when it came back out last year I went to buy one and like you say it looked way too glittery and thin so I never bought it.
I’m so sure they’ve changed the scent too. I sniffed a bottle in the shop at Christmas and actually recoiled back 😂 I’m sure it used to smell much nicer.

Ah sorry I meant Lush still seems popular despite the dip in quality and price rises - The Body Shop has been a sinking ship for a while, sadly.

Saying that, I don’t know how well Lush is doing as a business so who knows!
Its ridiculously expensive I know that much!

I tried to book a spa treatment both online and over the phone, but when I did it online, I got zero response, and when I tried over the phone, I was met with the rudest person ever.
With online zero response, no email or confirmation, luckily, no money was taken.
So I tried to phone, and I explained to the lady I tried online and got no response, and she huffed and puffed and said quite rudely that there is only one Lush spa in London, and everyone is trying to book. I asked when was the best time to book, and she sighed down the phone and said never a good time as everyone is trying to book. I was going to ask why Lush only got one spa in London and what happened to the ones in Kingston and on King Road, but the last had enough and said she's got to go or something.
So that was that, and I made a mental note not ever to book a Lush spa -which is a shame as they look so good. I didn't complain (or at least I don't think I did - I might have tweeted about it).
Jesus-that’s AWFUL. I wouldn’t do it either after that mess.

I was on the Lush Forum too (I have always been the biggest message board nerd 😅). Wow, the controversies and fights that used to happen!

Mark always came across as a bit of a sleaze to me, swooping in and accepting all the arse licking and fawning by the women on there (there were virtually no male members, apart from some husbands/partners of female posters who also revelled in their status as blokes amongst hundreds of women). He had a little harem of favourites who would win competitions and get invited to the factory in Poole.
Grosssss
I was in there too-wasn’t there something about a mum of twins and legal money she got from him?

I love the shampoo bars, I have one that smells like cinnamon and promotes healthy hair growth. The lather on it is beautiful and it smells incredible!

I do remember a poster called twinmum! I also remember a ton about her backstory (how my brain retains so much useless shit I’ll never know). I don’t recall anything about money though. Do you mean she sued him or he gave her money for a legal battle she had with someone else?
I feel like she was wanting to divorce her husband and MC was going to help her pay for the lawyer -or something similar. God that was a long time ago. I can’t remember properly now

H’Suan Wen Hua hair treatment. I feel like God himself made this stuff. It smells absolutely vile to me but it does wonders to my hair! Absolutely amazing stuff!

And Charity Pot body lotion is also pretty good!

Interestingly it seems they are not as popular as you’d have thought!

You know what, though, I don't want to have to put on a "hey I'm medically weird" badge at the door just to be able to go in and smell something. But that might just be me, I didn't get my wedding dress from a proper boutique because I couldn't be arsed with the fussing and not being left alone.
Usually they just phrase it as ‘prefer not to be approached’, which works as well for all the different groups of people who’d rather be left alone (without labelling them as anything). I’d definitely rather have a sticker than not be able to go in at all, which is my current default 🤣 I have ADHD and don’t really see it as ‘medically weird…’ tbh…

Ah OK. I vaguely recall break up but don’t remember Constantine offering to pay her bills. Not remotely surprised though. If he liked a poster, everyone knew about it.

Please tell me I’m not the only one who notices the thinning out of their shower gels and body scrubs. They used to be so thick and great value as a little went a long way and lasted forever. But it seems now that they’re all so liquidy if that makes any sense? Super runny and you need a fair bit of product to do the job. I feel as if Lush have got super greedy with all the price rises too…
Yes! Did you buy Yog Nog this year? It was basically glittery water! It’s so disappointing when they used to be so thick and long lasting.

I bought some things in the Boxing Day sale and I will always love their body sprays (which seem like the most cost-effective products out of everything) but I can’t justify buying anything else. The prices keep going up whilst the quality is going down 🙁

A rant regarding their moisturisers which I use to love. They changed formula, which I seem to have a bad reaction to. Quite bummed since that was my go to product from Lush.

I love their bubble bars and tend to go for them over the bombs, The Comforter is my fave one.

The Dear John perfume from them is my favourite but it's been discontinued 😭 I still have half a bottle though and also managed to get the body spray version on Depop. Their massage bars are lovely too I always have one in for my shoulders as I get so tense.

Tried their shampoo bars and not a fan, much prefer the Ethique ones, and also found the skincare I've tried quite underwhelming. Intrigued to try some of their makeup though. :giggle: Their spa looks really nice but can't justify it atm as all the treatments I like the look of are quite pricey.

Tbf, they were absolutely incredible. Not only did they exchange it, they gave me some freebies to ‘apologise’ for me having to take it back. Amazing customer service
I am so proud of you for going and exchanging!! I know how much I dread having to do things like that. Well done!!! And now free treats!!
Have a cool bath to celebrate 🥳
