Yes, I am aware of that. Thank you for reminding me, though. I think you're missing the point and seem really defensive about it for some reason. I don't care what you or any other individual does in their rented property. That's between you and your landlord.

However, whilst I'd love myself and other renters to feel like their rented accommodation was their home, it isn't the case. It can feel like your home and be comfortable but at the end of the day, someone else owns it and in most cases in 2 months can take it back from you (depending where you live, tenancy terms etc)

You've clearly had nice, approachable landlords. Majority (especially in London and other big cities) won't negotiate on these things as they can easily just drop you for another tenant who won't ask these things.

I don't know how you're interpreting any of these posts as 'snobby' - nobody is saying renting is taboo, it's the norm for most young people who move away from their childhood homes.

To bring it back to topic, the issue for me is that he is promoting it as something which is normal and part of the aspirational lifestyle he creates. When most people don't have the time, circumstances or buckets of gifted paint to do it.
Spot on …

Exactly! It is NOT normal to be painting multiple times a year, rented flat or not. That apartment has layers of paint thanks to that wanker! Not to mention how much VOCs (harmful chemicals) they're breathing in

I totally disagree with all your points…but that’s life,we don’t have to agree.Let’s leave it here, otherwise we could go on.
Hope you have a Merry Christmas.

Don't understand how you can choose to disagree with basic facts (go and read Shelter or Generation Rent's websites - they'll tell you a lot about most renters experiences)

Merry Christmas to you, too. Hope you've decorated your flat accordingly - if you haven't had a chance yet, Dulux have some great seasonal colours and you can use the code 'HOUSING CRISIS' for 10% off :ROFLMAO:

Bit ironic he went to a vintage store in York and harped on about it, after purchasing f from Barbour 🙄🙄

Just realised he lives around the Streatham area. With the way he talks about his area and flat, I always thought he was in central central London!
He never films close to where he lives, I obviously get the privacy reasons but he goes to Battersea which is more than an hour walk from Streatham and says ‘Oh I walked down the road to Battersea’ or I will go for a stroll in Chelsea (even though he needs to get a train to get there).

Did anyone else watch the Christmas cocktails video posted on Mr Carrington’s channel? The first “recipe” was ‘tying a ribbon around an ice cube’ and then plopping it in a glass of liqueur. Am I alone in finding this utterly mental? What a pair of absolute prunes!

The ice cube wrapped in a ribbon is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen

Luke is even more repulsive around Mr C so I cannot watch them together

My first thought was that the dye from the ribbon would seep into the drink. Wouldn’t have tasted very nice.

A Ribbon in a drink ?! I’ve seen everything now ! Might look nice for a few minutes but then the ice will melt and you’ll just have a germy , not food grade ribbon floating in your drink 🤢

I thought they took that ridiculous idea from Pinterest but even those folks aren't daft enough to do this.

I note from the vlogs that Luke is spending Christmas at his aunt and uncle’s and not with his mum and stepdad…anyone know why?
