Oh yeah! I didn’t even register that it was Chester crown court not Manchester. The flashing live icon got me!

Bah I think she did it. Seven murder charges and ten attempted murder charges, there must be some serious evidence even to take it to trial.

The BBC’s wording was that she allegedly attacked the infants.

Many medical professionals are ”high functioning psychopaths”. If she had allegedly offed one or two infants she may never have been found out. How many other nurses have done it and never been found out. What a terrifying thought.

Yes 7 murder changes was 8 but she had a NG for one charge cos prosecution offered no evidence, that is 7 charges out of 15 baby deaths the police were looking into at the start

Off topic will jurors be compensated because they cant work because the have to be at the trial? I dont really know how this whole jury thing works.

I’ve been thinking of Hollyoaks! ‘The glove hand killer’! That turned out to be a pretty goody two shoes doctor. I can’t remember completely, but she injected something into patients sending them in cardiac arrest?

She injected potassium something or other. She’d have to get the idea from somewhere…

I wonder if there's no proper trial atm, as in no legal arguments yet. Maybe they'll start Monday?

Maybe she only thought that after what happened? Looking back on what had happened and maybe that was the only thing they’d changed for a while. So maybe thought that’s why it happened?

What’s interesting with the timeline, as explained in the video, is that the attempted murder on 17th Feb 2016 and then the murder on 20th Feb 2016 is supposedly the same infant. And in another infant there were two attempts on the same day (9th April 2016). That feels very specific, like they have identified a certain action that took place that would be considered attempted murder or, sadly, resulted in death. Especially the one that is twice on the same day. But then on some other attempts it’s a date range.

I am really intrigued what evidence will come out to support this timeline. I’m assuming at this stage that the timeline is true, I’ve not verified it myself.

The murder change was drop for the 20th feb this child had moved to a different hospital,do you remember at the being of this the police started looking into a 2nd hospital where LL has been having training days to high her nursing grade.think it was Liverpool women's hospital

I understand the reason but for a case of this scale and nature it’s going to be incredibly hard for the jury to not have any sort of outlet. These babies died whether murder or another reason and they will have to listen to that for months. Are the jury allowed to discuss with each other during the trial when together in court breaks?

Only when deliberating I think well when I did it that was the case

I imagine there has to be a record? I’m actually surprised that she was answering the police questions at all.

You’d think there would be but I think there are ways it could have been forgotten.ikr then being short staffed? She could’ve requested it but then forgot as she was busy or someone else had gotten rid of them before she could record her concerns. Yeah you would think she’s avoid them, especially since her answer for the particular question could be seen as her knowing what happened before it was confirmed

I think the prosecution's opening statement could well take a couple of days because of how many counts they are.

What is usually involved in an opening statement? Do they do through each count and what evidence will be presented?

Feels weird liking your post, I liked it as a “thanks for the info” not as a “oh thank goodness it was girls too” !

I get what you mean! 5 boys and 2 girls for the murder charges and 5 boys and 5 girls for attempted murders.

I really hope she’s innocent. Not because I don’t want the parents to get justice, of course I do. I simply couldn’t go on if I lost my little girl. (My daughter is of an age, where a lot of babies had they lived)
If she has done this.. it’s just the most awful thing ever. Not only will she have stolen those babies lives; she’s ruined their parents & families lives, HER parents lives, her friends and those that love her.
I know it’s only just getting started, but I’m desperate to hear her defence.

That would be such a slap in the face for the boy’s family. I wish they would throw the book at him. All the papers say the victim’s family brought him here for a better life
