Most friends family and colleagues would say the same about anybody. Shipman’s other elderly patients thought he was fantastic, the best most caring doctor. Wayne Couzens’s MIL said he wouldn’t hurt a fly. I think the former colleagues are in for a shock. Nobody wants to entertain the idea that someone nice isn’t as they seem.

I was more looking at the report alongside it tbh (not being arsey was about to clock send and read back and thought I sounded abit arsey)

Fabricated induced illness it’s not really well understood but that would be my thought. BA like to try and ‘save’ the children she poisoned. Maybe it’s similar for her?

You know FFI hadn't even crossed my mind, but that could be a factor here if she does go on to be found guilty rather than being a scapegoat

Maybe he was told the report was irrelevant or couldn’t be used because the prosecution weren’t using statistics for evidence.

This report is saying there are five new charges of attempted murder - so 22 charges in total, against the same infants. This might explain the delays and legal arguments last week.

I’ve been thinking of Hollyoaks! ‘The glove hand killer’! That turned out to be a pretty goody two shoes doctor. I can’t remember completely, but she injected something into patients sending them in cardiac arrest?

I can only speak for myself but for those of us that regularly follow crime stories / trials - something about this one does not add up -and if something feels amiss, usually it means that something is. What is amiss - we may never find out, even with a trial. But the strange way the entire case has been handled and the treatment of LL has me leaning towards a potential cover up.

What’s your concern with the way she’s been treated? (Not disagreeing with you, I just wouldn’t know how this differs to other cases as I don’t follow enough regularly)

I've no experience of Nursing/hospitals etc.
How do they knows she's the only one been present? Is there an accurate signing in and out procedure?

Obviously I'm not saying it's a lie as I know they won't have said it if they weren't sure but just curious at how they worked it out.

They won’t do, there’s no signing in and signing out procedure at all. As for insulin it isn’t checked by 2 nurses, it’s not locked away, it’s literally in a fridge anyone could walk in and get it…. It’s very accessible.

Exactly... They have to have some hard evidence to even get this to court. Some people seem to be in the thought process of a 'scapegoat' like all the names were put in a hat and LL name came out. Why would they pick her to be in the firing line... it doesn't make any sense as by all accounts she is a lovely person so why her!!

To be fair they have been dropping and adding charges left right and centre.

But this would have also impacted other nurses. It would be rather an astonishing coincidence that it was only ever Lucy that picked the tampered with bags.

Was it not only twice though that it occurred via that method of insulin in the bags?
