Yes only in this context. A lot of the morons online are trying to use this inquiry to suggest that it means a failing hospital or failures in care were responsible for the deaths of the babies in the Letby case. They were failing at CoCH but only failing to stop Letby. Sure, it’s all failures, all failure to prevent harm. Then the similarities end because CoCH babies were deliberately murdered by Letby which is a very different thing.

Seems the reason the CPS would not bring further charges was because Dr Bohin was not prepared to give evidence in court due of the likelihood of an escalation in harassment from the Letby mob.

I’ve seen where it now says reported deceased on the GMC site by Dr A’s name.

How sad that it’s really been 10 years since it all and she is still ruining lives.

It hurts my mind to believe that someone would choose to do what she did, like it seems insane, but from the evidence out there and her smaller weird proven actions (eg tons of “keep” handover sheets) I can’t believe there are so many people that are defending her still

I was just coming here to ask if you’s had seen this! Sometimes the wheels of justice grind slowly but hopefully will get there in the end. She didn’t operate in a vacuum, people suspected and reported and not only was nothing done, she was offered support and apologies! Also, what could it mean, PCOJ? Have they destroyed evidence to cover up their failings? Did they lie to the investigations? Who is it? So many questions!

Nadine Dorres writing today in DM about Dr A. She says he was a key witness. She describes Letby as a happy, shy nurse, liked by everyone, was a stickler for the rules and would not cut corners. (What about all the texting whilst in the nursery and pushing the feed through. What about taking 200+ handover sheets home and asking Dr A for confidential patient information in text messages!!!) She says the prosecution were struggling to build a case but found their chance with Dr A and they jumped on it!!! He flirted with Letby and she was slightly in awe of him. He was not unattractive (anyone who has seen his picture would agree he wasn't good looking at all). He had chosen Lucy as the object of his attention. She says as a former nurse (for all of 2 minutes) I've seen many times bosses taking advantage of young female employees. She says he later claimed it was Lucy who had manipulated him and deceived him. She said she was questioned by the prosecution who portrayed her as an emotionally, needy temptress and worse a harlot. She effectively says if it wasn't for Dr A's evidence Letby would be a free woman. What a lot of rubbish Dorres is churning.

Dorries is an old soak grasping around for anything that will give her attention. 20 years as an MP and achieved nothing other than enriching her family by employing them.

Police confirmed that the individual arrested today is one of those three arrested last year. They have been bailed pending further enquiries.

I don't think the general public ( unless they have followed the case very closely) understand there is a small group of very determined people campaigning for her release and that all these " bombshell" articles are actually the same few people stating the same distorted facts on loop and not evidence of a massive miscarriage of justice.
Following the Letby case has been an education in both how the law works and how bias the media can be.
