I found it really strange how the general public were pleased about Huntley being beaten to death but concerned about Letby being woken up too early on the morning of her arrest and the neighbours possibly seeing her dressing gown ( even though she could have worn her coat instead).
They are both child murderers they are as a bad as each other.

The response from Cheshire police is wonderful.


A statement issued by the force in response to the allegations said: “Cheshire Constabulary strongly refutes all the points made during the adjournment debate. It implied impropriety on the part of Cheshire Constabulary where none whatsoever has been established.

“We remain confident in the integrity of the investigation, the conduct of the prosecution, and the decisions reached by the courts.

“Over the past two years the force has come under constant criticism and has been intensely scrutinised and subject to unpleasant opinion from a core group of individuals who appear to pride themselves on spreading misinformation, making baseless claims and attempting to destroy reputations.

“While scrutiny of policing is legitimate and welcome, it is essential that such scrutiny is grounded in fact and does not inadvertently cut across due process, ongoing legal considerations, or the independence of the judiciary.

“The constant noise surrounding this case, inaccurate or partial information being presented as fact and attempts to hi-jack the perceived narrative risk undermining public confidence not only in this case – but in the wider criminal justice system.

Public confidence is best served by evidence-based discussion and responsible commentary – not ill-informed personal opinions and inaccurate details. We are committed to victim-focused justice, public confidence, and the rule of law. Our thoughts remain with the families of the babies – who have always been at the heart of this case.”

Professional Chase, one of the experts on Letby's new panel who claimed that the insulin levels recorded for baby F and baby L were normal for pre term babies has made a complaint to ofcom regarding his interview with panorama.

He claims that he was treated unfairly and his views were misrepresented. Ofcom disagreed and have not upheld his complaint.

If he can't cope with being challenged by a journalist, I doubt he would react well under cross examination.

It is understood that the doctor also faced other serious allegations, including that he inappropriately accessed medical records and risked patient safety, which cannot be revealed for legal reasons.

The insulin poisonings were attempted murders. I think the two insulin poisoning cases, along with the assault on one of the triplets, was where she was found unanimously guilty.

I think it’s more likely that she tampered with the insulin to get him onto the ward if she knew his specialty was paediatric diabetes and a child was thought to be having diabetic seizures or a similar diabetic emergency. We know she liked creating problems when he was on call so that he would come running down, and they could save lives and/or console each other

He was a very stupid, selfish man who clearly wasn’t thinking with his head (led by his dick), but I don’t think anything he did was malicious. I genuinely believe he thought she was sweet and innocent and that he was simply trying to help a friend (cough - girlfriend) without stopping to think about the consequences. He deserved to be investigated and to face some consequences for his actions, but I’m still sorry that he has died like this.

The comments are almost all calling it out and expressing sympathy for his wife and kids.

I Find this very odd….
Mr Deakin, himself a diabetic, also accessed Baby N's medical records inappropriately, including after Letby was convicted, the investigation found.
Why on earth would he put himself in this position knowing he was in trouble already for passing on information, this was after she was convicted so nothing to gain by looking at the records.
I feel for his family having the press on their door now.

Every post out come the morons with the same sound bite arguments having the audacity to tell me to 'do my research' when if they had followed the trial for even a day they would realise how stupid they sound. Babe, I've been following this trial since day 1, have some respect.

Carl said he and Claire came to that conclusion after watching a documentary about Letby’s case.

“It was obvious from that documentary that the condition and state of that unit wasn’t really a factor in the conviction,” he said.

So they didn’t actually follow the trial then? A ten month trial reduced to a single - biased - 1hr documentary and they concluded the jury weren’t told stuff?

I know many here are also on the Preston Davey thread. From a legal / justice perspective I’ve found it fascinating seeing what happens when the defence do present a medical expert on the stand.

And the 29 unanimous guilty verdicts in that case shows that it doesn’t mean that even when there is an expert for the defence (who was actually a highly regarded forensic pathologist of 40 years) doesn’t mean their evidence is enough for the jury to think there is reasonable doubt. Clearly with the Preston case, the jury found all the other evidence alongside the medical evidence, far too compelling to think there’s any doubt.

Something the Letbyists don’t see to understand that an alternative medical opinion is not enough to be considered reasonable doubt. It has to be tested in court and weighed up against all evidence as a whole. Letby could present everthing Shoo Lee et al are saying and still be found guilty.

And their evidence isn’t even new anyway.

I don’t feel sorry for him, would NEVER of wished death on him but he fed information to Lucy, went on secret meets with her including a trip to London , allowed her to drive his car, messaging all hours whilst being married, I don’t believe he knew the depths of LL but he supported her over other doctors at the start of being under investigation.

I'm a mum myself but I take issue with the idea that a woman cannot have "a remotely normal life" without having a child.
I mean its a minor point in the scheme of things but I still felt it was worth making!

Nadine Dorres writing today in DM about Dr A. She says he was a key witness. She describes Letby as a happy, shy nurse, liked by everyone, was a stickler for the rules and would not cut corners. (What about all the texting whilst in the nursery and pushing the feed through. What about taking 200+ handover sheets home and asking Dr A for confidential patient information in text messages!!!) She says the prosecution were struggling to build a case but found their chance with Dr A and they jumped on it!!! He flirted with Letby and she was slightly in awe of him. He was not unattractive (anyone who has seen his picture would agree he wasn't good looking at all). He had chosen Lucy as the object of his attention. She says as a former nurse (for all of 2 minutes) I've seen many times bosses taking advantage of young female employees. She says he later claimed it was Lucy who had manipulated him and deceived him. She said she was questioned by the prosecution who portrayed her as an emotionally, needy temptress and worse a harlot. She effectively says if it wasn't for Dr A's evidence Letby would be a free woman. What a lot of rubbish Dorres is churning.

Dr A role in Letby's convictions has been massively over stated. She had committed most of the offences before they even met. She was interested him because he had access to the consultants meeting and was a way into Alder hey.

Holy shit. I hope it was stress caused and not…you know His poor family!

Reading between the lines, it sounds like he attempted suicide after being fired but was found alive and then, obviously, later died in ICU. Hence the ‘being ill for sometime’ before he died. Being referred to the GMC after being fired would be devastating for any doctor, let alone one whose been carrying the stress of being mates (or more) with a serial killer, the public inquiry, the court case etc. I feel so sorry for his family and children.
