Was really not expecting the story to go that way 😳
No and given the length of time that’s passed I had presumed that his actions weren’t considered gross misconduct but that extra detail also makes it sound like he did more than what we know about. Took an awfully long time for them to have the hearing though. Unless new information came to light since Thirlwall.

Ooh they will be kicking and screaming about this. Half expected Sky News to add about her “innocence” campaign but nope, just her crimes reported along with the other worst of the worst.

Doctor A's involvement with the Letby trial has given the media the opportunity to make a soap opera romantic drama story line. As his identity and looks have been kept from the public people have been free to use their imagination. This has led to his image as being much more sexy and attractive then the ordinary middle age man was.

There has been no other past romantic partners of Letby being mentioned, suggesting that she wasn't interested in having a boyfriend. I think Dr A was probably looking for a fling with her and she wanted a spy in the camp.

They are noisy but it’s important to remember it’s like basically the same 4 or 5 virgins all talking to themselves.
I wonder if Sarrita has managed to get to a World Cup game. Bless her. Probs too busy healing deafness and blindness 🪽😇

My blood has just gone cold. Just seen that the mystery lover boy has died. Oliver Rackham also has just died and was in his 50s … could Oliver Rackham - if named in certain parts of the trial, also be the mystery dr? Just seems a bit weird to me that two Drs from the North West in their 50s have both died? He was also unwell, and also moved hospitals - probably around 2020?
No, they’re different people. A few of us on here know Dr A’s real name and it’s not Oliver Rackham.

The Sun are reporting this:
Cheshire Police, which has faced criticism over its handling of the case, refused to provide usual details after the registrar’s death.

And a listing for his death appeared to have been removed from the coroner’s website.

I know there was an anonymity order in place but I think given his own misconduct as a paediatric doctor, and he’s now dead, at some point there surely is an argument that there is a public interest into him too and not just Letby. He didn’t deserve to end up dead, but that also doesn’t mean he should be protected. At the time of the trial itself I’m sure it was reported his kids were taking exams so maybe they are now over the age of 18. I absolutely expect the media to try and get the anonymity order lifted. I just don’t know if they will be successful.
I understand the family wanting to keep this quiet & the anonymity order being observed by the media but why/how is his name being removed from public inquest, GMC etc info? On what basis is this happening?
Also, he is not a victim here. The babies & their families are th victims but it feels like he is being awarded victim status with this treatment.

To be clear I do not wish him dead or to overly suffer, but even if we gloss over his moral failures as a married man clearly having an affair with a younger colleague he broke many rules & practices he should have abided by over a sustained period. He earned a large salary paid for by the public & so should be scrutinised & held to account.

I found out yesterday that my mum thinks LL is innocent. My ghast has never been so flabbered. Im not sure I’m even related to her anymore! I kept up with this case as it was ongoing, I deep dived, I went down a rabbit hole, I read court documents, transcripts, legal things - I’m autistic ffs, I don’t let things go. She read the newspapers and watched the daytime tv reports and is arguing that she knows *knows* she is innocent. I had to end the conversation and put the phone down 🥴

I'm a mum myself but I take issue with the idea that a woman cannot have "a remotely normal life" without having a child.
I mean its a minor point in the scheme of things but I still felt it was worth making!
I also find it utterly disgusting he is pontificating about the fact she won't have children when she has murdered premature babies.

I don’t know guys.. I’ve been reading a lot of Reddit, listening to John Sweeney, reading through Gill’s rants and I am starting to wonder if there is some truth in their stuff after all 🙈
She does have kind eyes.
As kind as Bin Laden’s though?

Finally we can get a season 2 of The Queen's Gambit off Netflix, prison style.
If it’s true that Letby is mates with Sara Sharif’s murderer-why would a supposedly caring person who loved babies & children, as Letby supporters say she is, hang around with someone who tortured & killed a child? It’s not fucking normal.

it sounds like he died by suicide, which is so sad but didn’t they say he was ill at the Thirwell inquest?
It’s a shame I feel for his family but also what a waste, be was a consultant and no doubt saved lots of children lives in his career, what a way to end it being sacked all down to creeping after her.

I listen to The Trial pod & noticed an influx of low reviews for it. Reading them there’s a theme of calling Caroline & Liz biased in their reporting. A few of these reference Letby & I suspect the rest are Letby supporters.

Obviously they’re oddballs but it’s ludicrous to suggest impartiality needs to remain after conviction!

I loathe the Daily Mail but that’s a really well done pod & I respect Caroline & Liz.

Liz Hull has written a large, interesting 2 page article in today's Daily Mail , page 10 and 11, most of which we already know. Sorry I don't know how to put it on here. Ironically Dr A was found in his car on the 10 year anniversary of the last two babies she murdered. I had previously looked on the website of the hospital where he was a consultant and I had the impression of a good popular doctor who seemed to be involved in a lot of initiatives, fundraising etc. Unfortunately his past actions caught up with him eventually ending the career he probably loved and was dedicated to. I feel sorry for his family who were innocent in all of this.
I feel sorry for them all including him. He was a stupid stupid man but then she was super manipulative like every psychopath. He obviously genuinely believed at the time she hadnt done anything wrong. How gutted he must have felt when realisation dawned on him that actually he had been feeding a murderer with stuff he never should have done. It sounds like hes done his best since then to make amends and the country has lost a good doctor. Its incredibly sad. Yet more lives wrecked by that evil bitch.

His poor kids, they are still quite young.
Exactly this. I’ve seen a few people on X and elsewhere say “karma”. But the bloke was 53 and has two teenage kids and a wife that has already been through hell. Empathy seems to be sadly lacking in many people these days.
