Oh yes I forgot about that and have now been down a rabbit hole and seen the trust appealed it and only in May 2026 was it refused. I expect they were holding off on the final outcome until that had been exhausted as he was then sacked a month later?

Well it didn’t take long for me to find out his name, his wife and children’s names plus a photo of them and a YouTube video of him. It makes the lifelong anonymity law a bit of a joke.

Can I ask how you found it? I’m Not even sure where to start

I found who I think it may be - it now says the GMC have received evidence he is deceased

his poor children and family - I can’t imagine what they’re going through, after all they’ve already experienced

Where is that bit posted ?

From my little online hunts I think i found the name mentioned, but cant find a link between him and the CoCH

I saw this comment but nothing elsewhere, has someone else close to him also died recently? His poor family if that is the case!

I can’t work out his name from the clue above… well not one that comes up with anything on Google.

Liz Hull has written a large, interesting 2 page article in today's Daily Mail , page 10 and 11, most of which we already know. Sorry I don't know how to put it on here. Ironically Dr A was found in his car on the 10 year anniversary of the last two babies she murdered. I had previously looked on the website of the hospital where he was a consultant and I had the impression of a good popular doctor who seemed to be involved in a lot of initiatives, fundraising etc. Unfortunately his past actions caught up with him eventually ending the career he probably loved and was dedicated to. I feel sorry for his family who were innocent in all of this.

I understand the family wanting to keep this quiet & the anonymity order being observed by the media but why/how is his name being removed from public inquest, GMC etc info? On what basis is this happening?
Also, he is not a victim here. The babies & their families are th victims but it feels like he is being awarded victim status with this treatment.

To be clear I do not wish him dead or to overly suffer, but even if we gloss over his moral failures as a married man clearly having an affair with a younger colleague he broke many rules & practices he should have abided by over a sustained period. He earned a large salary paid for by the public & so should be scrutinised & held to account.

I feel sorry for them all including him. He was a stupid stupid man but then she was super manipulative like every psychopath. He obviously genuinely believed at the time she hadnt done anything wrong. How gutted he must have felt when realisation dawned on him that actually he had been feeding a murderer with stuff he never should have done. It sounds like hes done his best since then to make amends and the country has lost a good doctor. Its incredibly sad. Yet more lives wrecked by that evil bitch.

Fuck me, this behaviour does not suggest someone with humility around their conduct.
It’s sounds like Alder Hey were happy to sweep him bringing Letby there under the rug? But then had to investigate the breach of confidentiality re Facebook messages & he brought a successful claim as they didn’t appoint the correct role to investigate him?

You used to be able to find him quite easily by Googling “paediatric diabetic consultant Alder Hey Hospital”. We know from the court documents that he went to Alder Hey, and it’s also fairly obvious from some of her “methods” that he specialised in paediatric diabetes.

It looks like he’s already been removed from quite a few of the pages, although his name is still listed somewhere without a biography — hint, hint!

Also, another little clue: the pseudonym they use in his recent pegal case, “MN”, consists of the first letter of his first name and the last letter of his surname, just FYI
