Ian Harvey and Stephen Cross would probably be my top two. They were the ones deliberately and directly withholding information from external agencies and advising others in the team.
Then Tony Chambers as he was the boss of them all so should have had more of a grip on the whole situation. I don’t think he can deflect responsibility on to just IH and SC.
Then Alison, then Sue. I’m not sure at the level Rees and Powell worked at they would be included, I think they were too far down the chain, but I hope they worry about it.

Saw this in the news and came racing over here. Makes my heart glad. At least some of them will be sweating. And this press release socks it to the naysayers. Good!
I think the problem with trying to charge Rees, legally, is Letby wasn’t convicted for baby Q’s attempted murder, plus it’s a manslaughter investigation so will only involve the babies that died and which ones could have been prevented had individuals taken action sooner.
I’m not sure if we should be a little worried for the consultants tbh. I understand their position at the time but could it be viewed that they should have just gone above the bosses and direct to the police?

I wonder how the Letby fan club will spin this! Given the ‘hospital’ were the ones that scapegoated Letby but now they find themselves under criminal suspicionI guess this will be cheshire police being bullies and doubling down huh?
I was wondering about the consultants, I mean there is a lot in the enquiry which shows they were threatened with losing their own jobs/being reported and the management effectively agreeing to get Lucy back and ‘manage’ the 4 out. I would hope that would be enough for their defence/no CPS charge if it came to any sort of arrest.
I do think it will primarily be the ‘large cats’ rather than the consultants but who knows, the police may have other evidence that hasn’t been presented to the public due to these possible charges as well
Actually this email I’m thinking of wouldn’t be evidence of gross negligence manslaughter because it was sent after she was removed from unit so in itself wouldn’t have contributed to the deaths. But I do think it should be some sort of offence to withhold this kind of information from the coroner!
Totally agree and then recently she extolled the virtues of Letby and her parents publically and sought to visit her in prison.

This is great news and exactly what we have all been wishing for. I would love to have been there when they were notified. They are all currently shitting their pants. And serves them all right.

Most these people just have no idea what they are talking about, both with the details in Letby’s case, the inquiry and also more generally with the law. And today’s news makes it glaringly obvious. Yet their ignorance and stupidity means they are going out of their way to defend a baby killer.
