Janet Cox is just a sad old bag. Maybe she sees being Letbys friend as some sort of flex. I think it's really strange how a 25 year old would be best friends with a 60 year old. Something funny going on there.
It wouldn't surprise me one bit if, after all the appeals are refused, and the truthers stop truthing, ans there's no more attention for Janet Cox, that she starts selling her story to whoever will buy it, 'I was best friends with a baby murderer' type thing in some of the trashy magazines like take a break and the rest.

I think she struggled to make friends with people her own age she because she was such a weirdo. When they were all gossiping about normal girly things Letby was probably stood with that blank expressionless look, staring into the walls.

Is it not telling - if you were truly innocent, had been wrongly convicted for all these deaths - (which LL is OBV bleeping not, get a grip), why would you become besties in prison with child murderers? Wouldn’t you (same as if you or I suddenly ended up in prison) be TERRIFIED of being surrounded by murderers, psychopaths? Yet, somehow, “iNnOcEnT” babygirl perpetual victim LL fits right in…

how is that not triggering for an innocent person?i would do what I had to go to keep the peace / keep myself safe against violent prisoners that I wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of, but the type of friendship that’s described here is not that. I appreciate it could just be tabloid rubbish.
I don't take these kind of articles too seriously to be honest. Who knows if they are true or not. "Insiders", "unnamed sources" etc could be anyone. One of the biggest things I have learned from following the Letby trials and inquiry is to read media articles critically. I don't trust information from "insiders" and if sources are named I research them to see how credible they are.Sorry if this has been said, BUT…

As an unqualified staff member she's probably just flattered that a qualified nurse is her friend
I'm a qualified member of staff and I'm friends with quite a few unqualified members of staff. I'd find it so awkward if they felt flattered I was friends with them, what an odd statement. Qualified HCP aren't above anyone else.

There's a clear hierachy in the NHS - it's like the army. Doctors (officers) at the top then you've got the enlisted personnel (nurses and below). In a hospital there will often be a separate canteen for the doctors (like an officers' mess)
I think my hospital is an anomaly as it is not like that at all. People who come from other hospitals say how different we are. No one is better than anyone, we have no hierarchy. We don't even have a staff canteen, let alone separate ones
We are only maternity though so I wonder if a general hospital would still have that hierarchy.
Tbh, on my mum's final hospital stay, which was over 10 weeks (a large, city teaching/ university one), the dining area on her wing is one where anyone can go. It's like a food court with a big, open space. I'd often see members of staff from all different rankings eating together. I felt oddly surprised by it.
