I’m still on Sue Hodkinson. She’s such a whopper.

No no no no no. Not at all the trust supporting Letby’s mother. How on Earth could anyone jump to that conclusion. Merely that Occupational Health, so NHS resources and staff, were going to liaise with Letby’s mother’s GP. That’s sooo different. Bergerac concerning herself with Letby’s mother’s wellbeing is really really different to OH support being offered.

I really cannot understand why, if you were innocent, you would not want the police called in or to be taken off duties so you could prove you weren't the cause.
Unless, of course, you're a fucking baby murderer.

Why can’t they see two things be true though? That a consultant made a tragic mistake that resulted in the death of a baby and also that Letby was a killer.

A consultant making a mistake (that was identified so therefore explained vs unexpected and unexplained!) doesn’t somehow prove that Letby is innocent. It doesn’t mean Dr V is liar and not a credible witness. Dr V was not struck off as a result of the mistake either.

The truthers have such simple brains it’s scary.

Sue Hodkinson is really trying to come over as nicey nicey and they are having none of it 🤣
Absolute dickhead offering her expert opinion on Neonatal care as an HR “people professional”.

another weasel that can’t answer the question. It was difficult as a mum.
It's this attitude I find infuriating! Professionals who don't work in NNU and actually know nothing about how babies fare in these units. The paediatricians knew because they are the experts not TC, IH and Sue the HR lady, yet they were being over ruled. NNU babies are vulnerable but they are constantly monitored, their needs are met and unexpected deaths are very rare! Other patients in the hospital would be far more likely to die! Yet in this case everyone else seems to think they know better than the experts.

I know someone who was in an NHS management role ( London area) and blew the whistle on colleagues. The stress he was put under for speaking out landed him a major heart attack. He survived- and left the trust and now runs his own business doing something manual, which he enjoys. It’s hard to imagine the excruciating feeling of being gaslighted at Trust level when you are trying to speak up to protect vulnerable patients. I truly hope that criminal proceedings ensue ( corporate manslaughter or similar) maybe a private prosecution and/ or a civil suit for damages for the parents. I mean FFS, there are barristers willing to take on Letby’s appeal to the CCRC pro bono - I would hope that these narcissistic avoiders are brought to account and there is lots of support for a rigorous legal process. No way should they be walking out of Thirlwall’s inquiry to a peaceful life. They seem so smug ( by “they”, I mean TC, AK, IH in particular)
And as for the Letbys - we really are seeing them now in their true light. There is nowhere to hide. They seem masters of manipulation, blackmail and histrionics - LL learned obviously from her parents . As someone said earlier - why the Fk was it so hard to simply ignore them and banish them from meetings? It’s abhorrent.

Does anyone else think Tony Chambers was throwing Daddy Letby under the bus with the gun to my head threat thing? I think he’s exaggerating to play the victim. It’s not like John Letby is going to defend himself, and he wouldn’t be believed if he did.

Her parents should be made to answer questions at the inquiry to be honest.
If he felt threatened by Lucy's parents why didn't he just ban them from the meetings? Lucy could bring HC or Bergerac for support.

Surely the very first thing she should have done would be to stop Letby working there while concerns were investigated. And then concerns were first raised not all the way later after Baby P. She is so shockingly blasé and uncaring. She's not coming over well at all.
“It’s very hard to hear” that she didn’t do what she needed to protect babies apparently. Fucking hell another narcissist. Poor you Alison!!! It’s not about you hun. Is it as hard as having your baby murdered? No. Shut the fuck up then.

Great summary @Tofino another bizzare quote from Taylor "I don't know what the prosecutions argument was but it is nonsense" 🫠

Here’s the safeguarding report. I feel a real sense of reluctance and it’s mostly writing about the amount of support offered to the accused nurse

Lucifer was getting briefed on Operation Hummingbird by the Trust, as and when updates were provided to them by the police. I wonder if the Countess told the police about that arrangement.... I doubt it

Tony Kent is a barrister and has pointed out Davis is referring to Mark McD as a KC when he isn’t one.

No surprise this error of fact is irrelevant to Letby fans as they try to argue it with a barrister. Rather than question how an MP who has supposedly spent months investigating the case and attended the conference would make such an error. But they don’t care for actual facts do they? They just believe whatever they read on Twitter or the telegraph that fits their own bias.

ITV playing a clip from the inquiry this morning, is this the first we have had same day video?
I really can’t get my head round how Ma and Pa Letby were treated and how they behaved, how were they allowed so much say is beyond me .
Cant wait to hear what our roving reporters have to say about today!
I wonder if that pair are now going to offer any personal apologies to the families of the babies their daughter murdered, seeing as they are so keen on speaking for her. I hope they are shunned by everyone they know.

Am I missing something. I've just read Dr Dewi Evans statement (on John Sweeney's Xitter)

Where has he supposedly changed his conclusion? Reading his statement it seems he made some clarifications but doesn't seem he has changed any evidence.
I’m glad he’s put out that statement actually. I particularly like this bit. The usual doubters won’t care for it but at least it’s on record after they attacked him yesterday.

I sincerely hope that one of the recommendations that comes out of this enquiry is that HR procedures and other internal processes shouldn't involve or pander to the parents of the person at the centre of it, when they are a grown adult  Yes, people do need independent support and advocates if they are doing through these things, but bringing your dad in to shout at people in person and on the phone and your mum to cry and read out whiny statement should have been seen as unacceptable.
This should be standard anyway. Even if she was innocent, she should have been encouraged to rely on her support system outside of work yes. But no way should they cross the line and actually get involved. How mortifying.

I too bet she attacked babies at LWH, possibly even having her first kill there. But I worry it was so long ago that they might never be able to prove it.
Medical notes needed to be kept for 25 years. All the evidence in them will still be available.

Operation Hummingbird must be fairly confident more charges will follow in the New year, or why go to the bother of interviewing Letby and telling the press.
