Whilst her parents are alive she will NEVER confess, not even sure when they do she will then even.
She has nothing to lose and everything to gain by staying silent.
At a bare minimum she has some “ protection “ in prison by denying everything and it affords her extra visits from her legal team and the odd trip to the prison “ court “ for the day if she’s on a video link. She gets to relive her crimes with whoever will listen who are working on her behalf and it keeps her name in the press periodically and her simps throwing birthday parties for her. It’s win win.

I would be massively shocked if she ever confesses. I think she absolutely revels in any kind of "poor Lucy" attention and being a victim. I bet she is loving all the "miscarriage of justice" crap.
The press conference was very strange. They've taken old information from the trial and spun it to the public as " new evidence underpinning the convictions".
Maybe they want to get as much attention as possible in case Letby is charged again. McDonald was present at the police interviews so he will have some idea where the investigation might be heading.
I think your right, Mcdonald knows she's likely to face more charges which will make her look guiltier then ever, so they are trying to spin a narrative that it was the doctor who killed the baby. Its strange however they think Dr Brearey tried to cover up medical mistakes when he was the one pushing and pushing for a very detailed investigation into his death.
If they had solid evidence that it was Dr B, wouldn’t they have reported him to the GMC? Or would GMC be bound by convictions being legal fact, regardless of any new evidence? I don’t think they have it btw but wondering if this exposes it.

Oh I forgot it was the adjournment debate today, I thought it was Thursday for some reason.
Looking at the order today, second reading of children’s well-being and schools bill is until 7pm. Then a few other matters. So he doesn’t get to speak until after that.
I checked the TV schedule and bbc parliament changes to the House of Lords at 7.30pm so if he starts before 7.30pm then some of it may be on tv? If not I’m hoping it will be posted on full somewhere anyway.

I am glad there is an inquiry and don’t care for the costs but I’m not optimistic anything will change. It’s seems very few recommendations from inquiries over the past 30 years have been implemented. There’s a fundamental problem with our inquiry system (that it doesn’t actually seem to drive much change).

The role of the expert witnesses sounds like they are suggesting Dewi Evans wasn't up to it and it should go back to appeal courts. However four judges have already decided Dewi Evans's evidence should stand. How many appeal court judges are they? Do they want them all to listen to their argument until they find one that agrees with them?
