Ps ‘Momentum’ doesn’t get people out of jail. Fresh evidence does. Which they have none. Anyone on Team Letby should be embarrassed by what was said today. It’s like they never even read the medical records or court transcripts.

The scary thing is, you have highly trained professionals spouting pure rubbish for fifteen minutes of fame. If must be terrifying to have a premature baby needing ventilation, then you see a doctor on the telly saying the ventilator will push the liver into the pelvis! There is absolutely no documentation of this actually happening but people will believe a doctor.

I keep debating myself what prompted Mark McDick to call this press conference today. Because even for them it seems premature. It has crossed my mind if the Letbys x 3 insisted Letby had a voice following the close of the inquiry for Xmas (surely no coincidence) where Mark
mcDick has said he’s not been allowed to represent her at the inquiry, and he’s also said similar following the latest police interviews.

I do go back to this might be a co-ordinated PR campaign where they now plan on every X weeks dripping things like this to the press to make headlines and keep doubt over Letby in the minds of those that support her, in the hope to pressure the courts.

Or what someone said yesterday about possible charges coming up. Once she is charged again, there will be media restrictions in place and so they are getting out whatever they can now before that happens.

Maybe it’s a combination of all of it.

I would absolutely LOVE to see her charged again (because I’m absolutely convinced she will have harmed other babies even though i wish she hadn’t and I would want to see justice for them) but I’m feeling a little pessimistic about it due to difficulty with complex evidence and also if they think she would get a fair trial anyway when there has been so much public discussion about her convictions.

I feel for the families tonight, bad enough they have to live the rest of their lives knowing that the babies they loved so much were murdered or harmed by Lucy but to have these idiots who probably need to just read the bleeping wiki pleading her case with this bull is despicable.

If they have new evidence go through the proper channels, if they don't then shut the duck up! It's a smoke screen for a fund raising campaign for a bunch of work shy conspiracy theorists I think to be honest.

I can’t imagine how the parents must be feeling. I’ve been quite preoccupied with it tonight as I feel so outraged and so I can’t imagine what it does to them. I hope they are able to ignore it somehow.

I’m mostly outraged at the utter rubbish and misinformation people parrot. Like ‘the unit was closed down’ or ‘she wasn’t on shift for any of the other deaths’. People can’t even get basic facts right but then want to insist this is a miscarriage of justice? It’s clear people don’t bother with trying to understand actual evidence either trial or inquiry.

The problem is experts with any integrity wouldn’t pull a stunt like this lot today or get involved without knowing all the medical details, so then her supporters get free rein to say whatever they want unchallenged.

I haven’t watched the press conference in full yet - did they say when they were actually going to approach the appeal court or what their next step is? If they are that confident in what they have already then I would expect them to have been able to do this today. If they have it, why wait?

There's no momentum. A few weirdos on twitter saying she's innocent doesn't actually make her innocent. She killed those babies and she will never get out

This whole publicity stunt is infuriating. Did McDick even bother to consult the families before getting his "experts" to publicly spout alternative theories about their babies deaths? Does this curd of a man understand how distressing it must be to hear this. It made me feel sick how he was trying to humanise LL by saying how awful it must be for a 34 year old woman to spend the rest of her life in prison, whilst stripping the babies of all humanity and treating them as public property.

I was appalled by the speccy eggheaded wick making baseless allegations of manslaughter against the Dr who treated baby O. How dare he be allowed to spout these accusations completely unchallenged. I honestly hope hevis sued for defamation.

Where has he supposedly changed his conclusion? Reading his statement it seems he made some clarifications but doesn't seem he has changed any evidence.

I’m glad he’s put out that statement actually. I particularly like this bit. The usual doubters won’t care for it but at least it’s on record after they attacked him yesterday.
