This article in the times reveals more details of two of the cases that are being investigated from Liverpool Women's hospital from October & November 2012.

"Among the cases at Liverpool that Cheshire police has asked expert medical witnesses to examine is the case of one baby born in October 2012. Medical notes reviewed by the experts record that the baby’s chest drain was dislodged once on October 26, twice on October 27 and once on October 29. The child’s breathing tube also fell out on October 29. Letby was on duty on all the days."

"In another case examined by the expert witnesses, a premature baby born at Liverpool collapsed in November 2012 after water from the ventilator circuit went down the baby’s endotracheal tube. The experts concluded that the reason for the presence of water in the tube was unexplained. Letby was again on duty."
Mark McDick, Letby’s barrister, confirmed that she had agreed to be interviewed by officers but had not been arrested and maintained her innocence. “The police have been briefing about further inquiries for over a year,” said McDick, who is planning to take Letby’s case to the Criminal Cases Review Commission.

“Any allegations need to be taken seriously, so we are only surprised by the timing of this new leak from the police, given that there is now substantial information that undermines Lucy Letby’s convictions.

“Lucy voluntarily attended an interview; she was not arrested. Lucy continues to maintain her innocence and, as she has said throughout, she has never and would never harm any child. The continuing leaking and briefing of information in this case by the police since the investigation began in 2017 is deeply concerning and needs to stop. Everybody is entitled to a fair hearing and right now the police are arguably preventing this from taking place.”

BIB - yet no application to the CCRC? What’s stopping him? What hearing are the police disrupting? If she wasn’t arrested or charged then there is nothing getting in his way of continuing her application to the CCRC surely. I look forward to hearing this substantial new information.

Honestly he’s disgraceful.

So she's been at for years. Poor little babies! Having water down a breathing tube must have been horrible, hope baby was okay.

She qualified in September 2011. So those babies at LWH were only a year later. She’s been harming babies her entire career.

I still think about that prisitine handover sheet in the keepsake box from her first shift as a student. I checked and the date was 1st June 2010. Hopefully she was never left unsupervised but that shift was special to her.

Honestly he’s disgraceful.

Whys he calling it a "leak" the police have interviewed Letby and it's now being made public knowledge and rightly so.

He's then retaliated by coming out with this nonsense about substantial information undermining verdicts and some more balls about 50 experts ready to die for Letby. It's like he's saying they are ready to dispute these new allegations without actually knowing sweet fa about them.

He's instantly trying to undermine this new development without the slightest bit of knowledge about it. The man is a colossal hole.

He obviously get some sort of kick out of these types of cases and knows this is going to be his most prominent one by far. Baby murdering sympathiser.

It's just occured to me that the green post it note was found inside Letby’s handbag. So was she attending these hospital meetings, where she declared complete innocence, with the note saying she'd killed the babies on purpose? Just so sick.

Why is her lawyer saying she has a right to a fair hearing etc. does he not realise her trial is over? She’s been convicted you hole. I’m sure prior to the start of her trial experts were contacted and there was ample opportunity for these 50+ clinicians to come forward and support her then. She’s a cold murderer, face it. And she’s been doing it since 2010 by the looks of it too. He should be ashamed of himself 🤢

Has Peter Hitchen never heard of this thread! Does he honestly think its the only people who know next to nothing about this case, that think she's guilty! That the poor babies who had their tubes removed and suffered pain and panic shouldn't have their cases investigated!

Voluntarily interviewing someone in prison tends to be usual practice. They don’t need “arresting” because they’re already there. Voluntary interviews are also still done under caution.

They can refuse to be interviewed in prison so I’m assuming this is why he’s trying to spin her an “innocent” take by the fact she agreed to be interviewed.

I would be VERY interested to know if she actually answered every question put to her or whether she issued a pre-prepared statement and then answered no comment because they are two very different things with my ex police hat on

He is representing her for free, to further his career and for publicity. Ben Myers probably had no choice and struggled to find expert witnesses to defend her. Now certain parts of the media are painting her as " Britain's next biggest miscarriage of justice " some professionals are trying to make a name for themselves on the back of Letby's heinous crimes.

Is he? Because in all these years Ben Myers never spoke to the press or did tv interviews or tagged journalists on Twitter who he didn’t agree with.

I love the way he says she wasn’t arrested as if it means anything when you’re in prison till your last breath 🤣🥰

This Louis Browne seems like another weasel. Claiming he had no idea at all about the allegations against letby and if he had he would have advised everyone to call the police immediately but the notes clearly show that at the pre-meetings before the inquest for baby A they were discussing a nurse. He very much seems to tell them to stick to script and not mention speculation. He was instructed directly by Freemason Cross and not through the usual methods. Seems shady AF to me! As does his very patchy memory 🙄
