Can't wait to hear what's happening! Pleade let it be thrown out 🙏. I wonder what grounds for appeal he's going to go for?

words so I can post
Clutching at straws surely. If they are successful on these grounds then surely it would mean there is no hope of ever prosecuting her for anything else. Which would be a huge miscarriage of justice.

Wayne Couzens was charged with further crimes after receiving whole life order for his crimes against Sarah Everard. I think he pleaded guilty but are we not meant to ever convict high profile criminals on further charges just because their crimes received high profile media attention?

As far as I remember, once the retrial for baby K was confirmed the press did actually take a huge step back.

Baby K was originally right in middle of twenty two charges. It was never intended to be a stand alone case.

He added: “We are dealing with the impact of media coverage and public comment arising from the first trial, upon the second.”

Mr Myers said that media coverage before the retrial was “saturated with unadulterated vitriol towards Ms Letby”.

Yeah, poor old Lucy eh!

I can't remember the answer to this as I think it's been discussed already but in the Baby K trial did the fact BMG had advised taking the other charges into consideration in the original trial have any bearing? Or was it not allowed to be mentioned as it was a separate trial?

Pretty sure both sides agreed that reference could be made to the convictions already secured.

Lucy should be allowed an appeal because some people said some hurty words about her killing babies which is the case but even so, they were very mean and actually you should #bekind like my army of Karens at CoCH and my gang of butterfly internet perverts. And did you know she’s got a bad knee and thyroid problems? So it was very hurtful and actually she had been fully exonerated.

Well they're reading out the reasons for their judgement but are being interrupted by a fire alarm and automated verbal warning!
