Evidence is up
How late do they work! I checked around 9pm and it wasn’t there so assumed it would be tomorrow.

I am wondering about the other pathologists too. In some ways she answered the questions about how they basically shouldn’t have done the PM’s without forensics, but then the way they questioned her over baby D’s PM makes me wonder if the family KC’s in particular will have questions for the other pathologists.
---
Then you see something like this and think, who the duck is Joshua Swash 😅

Another article from today

"She said she was coming back next week whether I liked it or not and would I be happy working with her," Dr Jayaram told the inquiry"

The more I read of everything the more contempt I feel towards Harvey and Chambers, "drawing their lines" under suspected serial murder. 😡 They truly deserve to lie awake at night over this but I doubt it.

Struggling to read the scrawls of Josh Swash, a transcript for those would be helpful.

Ahh yeah more evidence of poor distressed and vulnerable Lucy, having a go at the lead consultant to his face.
Definitely a person that would be so distressed they’d write “I’m evil I did this on purpose” just because she was so traumatised.
Same person that when it was spelled out to her that the consultants thought she’d been killing babies she showed zero emotion. Twice.

Oh they are working this Friday too, wonder if enquiry will be over by Xmas they seem to be getting through it quick quickly.
Is it just me the witnesses so far that have apologised or sent sympathy to parents are the ones that actually had less to be apologetic for, can’t wait to hear what Ian Harvey or Tony Chambers say.

It will be interesting to see if any comms between just the execs comes out in evidence. i wonder if Tony chambers will try and throw IH under the bus.

I reckon Powell and Kelly will be firmly under the bus from both of them. Especially Powell with her interesting alternative reasons for the babies deaths. They’re just going to say they were constantly reassured by those two that it wasn’t suspicious. Rees will get thrown under too no doubt.

I was thinking about Ravi saying he wished he had courage to do more, it’s really sad to hear this, I am sure this will affect him his whole life. I can really see how him and Steven Breasley didn’t go to police themselves,
I am sure with hindsight they will regret this. However Ravi had spent years trying to be a consultant Paediatrician and tried to do everything by the book to get the police involved, he was being ordered to apologise by his bosses and told there was no problems and to draw a line over it, his career could have been at stake if the accusations were proved to be false.
Steven Breasley I am sure will feel the same but as head, his reputation would also be in line imagine if they were false and he was accusing a nurse of murder. Instead they relied on the managers to do there job and sadly for the babies she went on to murder they didn’t. Seemed all the senior managers just left with there nice large pensions in tact.
I know money wont bring the parents their precious babies back but I hope they get a huge payout from the trust for there totally lack of care.

Dr Jayaram showed a lot of restraint not to throttle her. Imagine her standing in front of you gloating, when you'd actually seen the poor innocent babies die.
If she'd been innocent she would have gone straight back down the M6 to work at Matalan where no one else could die on her.

Not sure we’ve ever heard this detail about baby H. No doubt in my mind that was her.

I think I read a bit of this in crapton’s telegraph article yesterday (because she had to add in Letby was found NG of one charge and not able to reach a verdict on others, and then the “poor care” identified) and I thought, I don’t remember this, but thought it was me tbh!

I’m so glad the inquiry isn’t bound by the beyond reasonable doubt burden of proof and can discuss all suspicious incidents.

It’s interesting there are two days worth allocated for questioning CQC. Do you think this will just be grilling them about the Feb 2016 inspection and overall policies about what they have in place to safeguard patients from being harmed by hospital staff
---
Ooh Sarah Clapton will love today and tomorrow as she can write articles about things the CQC found wrong with the hospital that had nothing to do with the deaths.
