So much stuff coming out today.

statement from Letby’s parents was read out alongside hers, presuming this was to the consultants?

And Hayley highlighted the bits in red in their letter.

Karen and her ‘nice email x’ 🤢

And this is Lucy requesting the funding for the Glan Clwyd course - June 2017. Of course they dealt with this urgently so Lucy didn’t lose her place! 🙄

And the last one from me… one page from Chris Green police interview seems to suggest Eirian handed him some bags.. but this is the only bit in the evidence so I don’t know what happened to the bags! I presume they perhaps mean from an insulin baby?

It might be the feed bags for the triplets. The paediatricians saved them as by this point they were convinced they had been deliberately hurt.

I somehow just knew Letby is the sort of person to use phrases like "having relations". 😂

I’ve only just finished reading the evidence from yesterday! Wow such a lot already in just the first couple of days back. Is Hayley the Hun union rep/bestie getting a full day of grilling? She deserves it!
I feel like they have really come back with fire in their bellies 🔥 I just can’t believe these people front it out so hard. Only the clinicians seem to have had any humility and remorse.

It was also Chris Green yesterday. I expect he got a hard time too!

You can hear her voice on the Daily Mail podcasts with Liz Hull and Caroline Cheetham which was available yesterday. You can also hear the voice of Nicola Lightfoot who failed her placement in her final year.
Sorry still catching up and reading/watching and I saw this
I really want to see Eirian Powell speaking, any ideas of where it would be available?
Sorry if been posted but still reading/watching etc and saw this… if you’re still looking

Again sorry if been seen already

This inquiry is really showing how incredibly difficult it is for clinicians to raise concerns.

I really wish there was a “100%” reaction on here. Sometimes I don’t feel a like/love is conveying my reaction appropriately 🤣

I am literally still getting over the union rep texts. I’m astounded that this was allowed to happen. I’ve just dealt with an issue at my work (not healthcare and obv not a murder accusation!) where a union rep was present and I could never imagine those reps having such conversations with that member of staff outside the work setting. Yes they’re there to support the staff member but that’s just another level.

I also don’t even think she should have been able to raise one personally. Or if she was, it should have been paused whilst the police were called AT THE FIRST OPPORTUNITY. I’m astounded at the processes that were followed here. You’re not talking about idol gossip or an affair gone bad, we’re talking about someone potentially deliberately harming the most vulnerable people. Regardless of anything else, that should have been “we’re not qualified to investigate this, we need to call the police and if you’re innocent, you’ve got nothing to worry about” end of

I just can’t get over the support she was given either, we have managers sending her texts out of hours, union reps telling her she’s their best friend, Dr noname wanting his way, inviting her back for a tea party, allowed to visit another neonatal whilst being investigated, wondering about Alder Hey, parents allowed to address her work, xmas party invite….
i am sure there is more too, what support have they given the parents of the babies she’s killed.

It's all so massively inappropriate . Those managers had zero objectivity when they were all fawning over her. She certainly knew how to manipulate people she saw as useful.

Typo I think. CG is Chris Green right? Saying that Ravi and Steve likely lied. Incredible.
from the transcript:

I'm not disputing that I said that because
it's recorded in the notes. I don't recall saying it,
but I am deeply embarrassed that I said that. I really
wish I hadn't.

from the transcript:
I’m quite interested in the psychology behind the reaction of these senior staff members. It’s like because the allegations were so severe and unthinkable that they over-compensated in their support for her because they absolutely did not believe it could be true. I can understand the not believing it but I find it intriguing how so many couldn’t remain professional about it. The fact it was so severe should have meant they should have stepped up the level of professionalism, not relaxed it!

It will be interesting to see how remorseful Chris Green is overall. I think some will genuinely see they were wrong and be mortified about how they behaved. And others less so like we’ve seen already!

From the transcript on page 10 (when you look at it on your phone haha) she offered LL the chance to go to the police herself and LL said she didn’t want to do that….. 👀 wonder why

I mean she is also thick as pig tit as she admits that never raised alarm bells with her that LL didn’t want a police investigation
---
duck sake they wouldn’t meet with her pm on a Friday “in case they cause upset over a weekend” Jesus Christ she was a suspect of murder

Yet in a grievance meeting in December 2016 she said she was happy for the police to come as she had nothing to hide. But I think she said this in the safety of knowing they couldn’t find evidence and they hadn’t already been called.

I find it so shocking that there are all these senior members of staff who took these roles absolutely knowing the level of seniority they held; they knew that they were ultimately responsible for a LOT because of the job title they held. Yet when it came down to a very serious scenario involving patient care, they did all the wrong things and even now, years later, can’t accept any responsibility for any of it. Why work your way up the career ladder, apply for senior roles etc. if you’re not going to take it seriously? They come across as just wanting the big pay check at the end of the month but not having to do anything of any serious value day to day.
