Oh so he is probably referring to the second bag of insulin given to baby F, I thought she hung that bag too before finishing her shift.
Yes, he also doesn't mention that Letby was on duty and the designated nurse for the third insulin baby. I don't understand how he thinks this makes her look innocent. It is very misleading.
I think he’s referring to baby F too as these idiots have said since it was covered in the trial that she had finished her shift and left before the bag was changed, as if that’s some sort of ‘gotcha’ for innocence even though there are a number of issues with that theory.
1. she could have contaminated the bag(s) in the fridge. it’s not far fetched for a serial killer to do that in the slightest. The person who took the second bag won’t recall if there was a bag conveniently placed right at the front. Or if Letby just got lucky. If it wasn’t baby F then maybe it would have been another baby.
2. Given it was a ‘
tit care’ hospital, how can they be sure the original contaminated bag / lines weren’t connected for the ‘second’ bag. They now think the hospital must have done everything correctly?!
3. The second bag could have been brought out into the room before she physically left the unit.
We don’t need to know when she accessed it, but she had opportunity. It’s not like it was a bag brought up from the pharmacy at a time she absolutely wasn’t on the unit for any of it.
