BNE.....always putting the bae in beige
Oh I missed that bit!The way I HONKED when BM accidentally said "overwhelming evidence" instead of "overwhelming coverage".![]()
WTF? I wouldn't trust any of these people to sit the right way round on a toilet seatThere’s people saying Myers is funded by the NHS that’s why he was so bad defending her….say wha!? Isn’t he like one of the best defence KCs in the entire country, he isn’t going to just throw the case can you imagine having her acquitted would’ve been one of the most spectacular moments he could ever have accomplished. I wish I didn’t see these looneybins theories but it’s like cake it keeps calling me back for more.

They need to put their brains in gear. As if the NHS would pay for a nurse to be defended because she was accused of killing or harming 14 babies, plus the rest she wasn't found guilty on. Ridiculous. There’s people saying Myers is funded by the NHS that’s why he was so bad defending her….say wha!? But but but but I thought the NHS was throwing her under the bus to make her a scapegoat for a failing unit??They need to put their brains in gear. Oh don’t worry, they have a plan. She will emigrate to Ibiza for an early retirement. Or maybe it was Cockington. I can’t remember.I am sorry to just dive in on this thread when it's so long standing and the discussions are so well put. Just wanted to say thanks for the links to the live of the appeal hearing videos - really interesting to put names to faces after months of transcript reading. This is cruel (but I was cruel about Jay Slater and associates, so I'll live) but Nick Johnsons voice is a bit sleep inducing! I'm knackered today and the 'beige' monologue was lulling my head.
The other thing I wanted to say, in reference to truthers on MN and elsewhere - what exactly do they think will happen to Letby if she 'won' and suddenly got all convictions overturned? How well would someone who was accused of 7 baby murders and 7 attempt murders of babies (with a shed load of excellent evidence out there against them in the public realm and well tested legally) get on when released? I am pretty sure that TikTok and Netflix and Reddit etc alongside the 14 plus families of the babies would not be letting it lie. Nobody in their right mind would just shake their heads and using the mouth breathers favourite saying 'It is what it is'. She will never, ever be believed by the majority and she'd rightly be hounded.
If I had sat through and interrogated the evidence they presented at both trials and it was my child who had been murdered, and saw the harm caused to 13 other babies (and potentially even more) and then some massive conspiracy theorist crap got the murderer off by some miracle, I would hound that murderer, the institution who enabled her and the legal system that failed my baby until my dying breath. I'd be a relentless thorn in Letby's, the NHS, the judicial systems side. The conspiracy theorists don't seem to have thought this through in any way, shape or form.
Yes, she and Jonathan Coffey take turns to read - he’s the co-author. He’s the one who was driving the car on the recent BBC documentary and said he oscillates between thinking she’s guilty and then has his doubts. I’d never heard of him until this week but apparently he has been involved with Judith from the beginning on researching and reporting on the case and I think he produced the panorama documentary. He’s apparently produced lots of gritty panorama episodes. I like that they alternate as it adds a bit of texture and stops it sounding monotonous. The audiobook on Spotify is also narrated by Judith herself! I'm in the office on my own today and tomorrow, so I'm going in!
It would be completely inappropriate and insensitive to the families to have him there. The inquiry is not about deciding Lucy's guilt that has been done. She doesn't need representing she is not on trial.![]()
