40% compared to 1% of dislodged tubes, how was that not a red flag to senior nurses over seeing her training. The devil was failed to be stopped at every single point by so many!
I don't think we can quote that statistic enough. How was she not stopped so, so long ago? She's been torturing babies for so long hasn't she? Evil, evil witch. Surely there has to be corporate manslaughter charges off the back of this. Empty apologies will never be enough.
It’s hard to know if that was found prior to her crimes or since. But the inquiry did say they were going to be looking at what they knew about Letby from her time elsewhere and at this point nothing would shock me

All the stuff in the press about this being a miscarriage of justice has been depressing me. I know that sounds dramatic but it has, it’s been like an unstoppable train with more and more people jumping on the “what if she’s innocent?” bandwagon. I just don’t see how anyone can think she is innocent especially as they haven’t been privy to all the stuff that has been withheld. You’d think people would be better at critical thinking.
So Richard Gill has got a base figure to work with - less than 1%. I wonder if he can tell us the probability that it wasn't Letby dislodging tubes? Perhaps she's yet again just very unlucky?

But, I have to say...we're only at the start of the inquiry, and I'm shocked, so shocked that she was allowed to do what she did for so long.

Even the NMC, who, fair enough, it would appear weren't given all the facts at the start, but I've seen first hand, over the years, colleagues referred for many different reasons and they've had the floor wiped with them by the NMC , before any hearings or evidence took place...it's all so bizarre

this nightmare just never ends does it? They have the next few months to sit and listen through. It will be another year of waiting to find out the inquiry findings. Potentially more charges and trials for Lucy which they wouldn’t be involved in but will see the media circus around it.---

I know we all said it as we followed the trial that she had harmed before Baby A, but hearing about the incidents at LWH just show that she had started long before. I hope to god she wasn’t left alone with any patient at Alder Hay when she was swanning about there after Drnoname.
Do we think the police will comment on operation hummingbird during the enquiry, as they have been investigating for a few years now. They didn’t say if there was any deaths at LWH though.

It's always stayed with me that she kept that box after her very first shift at LWH. Her first shift ffs

This paragraph from one of the opening statements for the families is incredibly powerful and should give all those who speculate about Letby being innocent pause for thought (although I’m not naive enough to believe it will)
She might have been doing harm to many babies she wasn't directly looking after to avoid suspicion.

His Gotcha Moment 4 is the stupidest thing I’ve heard. “Can’t convict her on statistics [they didnt] but these statistics that I’ve just invented might exonerate her”.
And I hope there were no more murders, but if there were, I hope Dr Hammond will cringe with shame until the end of time at his last line.
