I’m listening along and it’s just heart breaking, but also infuriating, how those poor babies and their families were so hugely let down. I honestly cannot believe what I’m hearing.

So Alison(?) Kelly flags it to Powell and Rees as well using the chart showing letby is there for the deaths and collapses and says it’s “potentially very serious” and that she’d not realised the “staffing trend” when she’d first reviewed it. Yikes.

the article is misleading. She reviewed some of the deaths and found in 5, the cause of death was unknown. These included baby A, I, O and P. She said she didn't have time to review the others in any details.
She is now saying they changed her report into baby D's death to say it was natural.

Just on baby C. I feel we are already hearing far more than was reported from trial. The statement that Letby suggested using a ‘gadelle’ (sp?!) and took the lead on using it early on in resuscitation which was unusual.
I do remember this from the trial tbf. But had forgotten all about it. It’s just grotesque because we know she was texting about wanting to be with a sick baby and have something of interest to her just beforehand. Vile beast.

Right we really need somebody with more brain power than my good self to go through the details about this meetings and try and work out exactly how many deaths Letby was there for. Sounds like the vast majority to me. I got from the meeting in March 2016 that it was 9 out of 10 but I’ve lost my place so many times and might have missed more details. Edited to add my nomination is Queen Tof 🤞🏻😍

edited again to say now I’ve just got to Breary saying “6 of the 9” this was March 2016. See I’m definitely not right for this job 🙈

So even the execs contacted lawyers for advice before contacting the police. Will be interesting to hear what the lawyers advised. Possibly shows how hard and complicated it is for an employer and/or nhs to report to police or whistleblow?

Seriously, Dr Noname knew she was being investigated for the unexplained deaths yet he still took her to visit Alder Hey. He really should be held accountable and have his anonymity removed 😡

I am actually feeling really emotional listening to this (I’ve joined the live stream) how many chances were missed to stop her?!
I hope every single person that did not take those drs seriously get their karma. They could have saved some babies ☹

How can her grievance mean she didn’t murder babies????

I knew the senior managers were covering their a but Jesus Christ.

WHY DIDNT THEY JUST PHONE THE POLICE REGARDLESS?! if she was innocent then fine, deal with the drs but surely it’s better to be safe???

The NG crew are going to jump on this with the gang of 4 🙄

They threatened the drs with being reported??! Wtffffff

Drs threatened with being reported.

Drs made to believe mediation was compulsory by higher ups or else face disciplinary action, only to be told by the mediators that it was voluntary.

This is shocking.

I’m actually astounded at the bits I caught. I’m at work & in the office tomorrow so won’t be able to listen again I don’t think.
I knew it was bad but I think just hearing everything they did just makes it so real.

Im a manager myself and have to deal with grievances etc and I just can’t believe the senior management did this. All to basically try save their skin for an employment claim…they’d rather have a murdered employed. wtf

As ever I am SO full of admiration for Dr Brearey and Dr Jayram. The absolute balls it took to relentlessly pursue this is staggering.

The fact that Lucy was so keen to visit and continue to work with little babies after being accused of being a baby killer suggests guilt. Surely an innocent person would be desperate for a new career where there could be no further incidents.
