Completely agree that some of the strongest evidence came from Baby E's case. And it's really telling that Baby E is rarely mentioned in the many articles banging on about unsafe convictions. I've read some vile comments on X about the mother lying.
That David Arthur Williams (if that is his real name) is one of the most vile simps out there. Some of the things he comes out with are shocking. He’s as much of a psychopath as Letby. He’s obviously got some twisted and perverted obsession with her. Hybristophilia doesn’t even begin to cover it

I’ve banged on about the strength of baby E’s mum evidence ever since she testified and I’ve never seen a single newspaper pick it up. I think it’s hard to get across the importance of it in an easy to read article. And some obviously choose to ignore it as it doesn’t suit their narrative.

One thing that should really stand out to people now we get transcripts is the volume of detail that comes out from a single day in court vs what the press choose to print (especially those with an agenda). Even on those first days we had the live reporting, it’s nowhere near the same level of detail that is in the transcripts.

and at the moment these are just witness testimonies. In court for the trial you see the physical evidence presented alongside it. Medical records brought up, images, diagrams.

the sequence of events was a powerful tool aswell. In the reporting you kind of just get a description. In court it’s all laid out on a huge spreadsheet (sorry statisticians!) minute by minute for every single member of staff and every note recorded. It’s quite something!

Letby’s movements are highlighted in one colour. The critical events before and after each collapse highlighted in another colour. It makes it a lot easier to understand the movements and how it correlates to the collapse and Letby’s lies. and that just doesn’t come across no matter how detailed live court reporting is.

Baby E’s mum and the insulin cases were the ones that swayed me off the fence completely during the first trial. She’s guilty and anyone ignoring the evidence for this and still trying to claim otherwise is delusional. It was a very safe conviction.

Absolutely agree @tay65 and @Tofino it was always rock solid. People still insist it could just be that Mother E has got her times wrong but it was always a case of Letby saying that whole incident with Mum trying to comfort a screaming baby E and Letby saying the tube was irritating his throat was completely invented by Mother E. Which is insane. But these people would rather think that Letby, a proven liar, adulterer, medical record stealing, murdering freak is a more trust worthy witness than multiple parents talking about the most memorable moment of their life. A totally new invented scenario of bleeding, a nurse telling you what the issue is and sending you away is completely out of the realms of a misremember.
Been over this so many times with them. They like to say that mam maybe did get the time right but that it still proves nothing. And the bleeding probably was caused by Ng tube irritation and that a Dr noted this aswell and it still doesn't mean Letby did anything wrong.

I think it was mmmbop that pointed this bit out the other day and I just want to revisit it because something is suspsicious and doesn’t sit right with me.

Baby E died at 1.40am. At some point the parents left him to go back to their unit. Letby writes at 8.21am parents resident on unit and wish to be left alone.
parents come back in the morning (time not specified) to find their dead baby still in the incubator and letby says ‘you haven’t told us to take him’.
Questions really and I’m not sure they can be answered - why weren’t they offered the family room after he died, we know it happened with baby c
When they left to go back to their room, what was said about would happen with baby e’s little body
Why would any nurse say ‘you haven’t told us to take him’
But why were other staff not questioning why he was left in his incubator for hours after the parent had left? Or am I naive in how quickly the hospital can take a baby away?
if Lucy manipulated this entire situation for some sadistic thrill then how did she get away with it?

And I hate to say this but presumably Baby F was being kept warm and poor Baby E at that point needs to be kept cool 😰 I can just imagine that if any other nurse questioned seeing the poor babies there together despite baby E having been dead for several hours, that Letby must have told them the parents requested it or something? Or has Letby retrieved baby E from somewhere and placed them there?? It’s just beyond my comprehension. I cannot imagine how Mother E felt seeing baby E back in there and her alive baby next to her deceased baby. Just horrifying.

but then they ignore that Letby told mum she had already called a registrar at 9pm when her own notes prove she hadn’t.

Oooh… excellent point to raise from baby E’s mum

Yes I love that she asked this and I think we will be hearing from LWH so it will be fascinating to see if yet again this is all fantasy in the warped mind of the Chincredible Sulk.

Yes I am wondering what other staff were told, especially with Letby writing that note about parents being left alone (to stop other staff talking to them?!). I’ve had a Quick Look at trial witnesses and it’s not really covered but I wonder if it will come up with staff witnesses later in the inquiry. But I expect hospital staff will be questioned generically rather than in detail for each baby.

I am hoping that because they have asked the parents about their general feelings, whether there was unusual behaviour or suspicions of Letby that they will do the same with Staff and they might be free to mention things that BM would have never allowed at trial 🙏

Yes because common sense alone would make you think from a duty of care POV to nursing staff, this wouldn’t happen purposely. Even if the staff member is (weirdly) requesting it.

I'd put money on it being yet another one of Letby's fairy stories, just like her disgusting lie about Child A's dad being on the floor screaming

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at this point. They only saw the complete report for the first time last week? Wtf 🤯

I know their memories are coloured by subsequent events, but the parents' testimony really does paint LL as a ghoul, feeding off the grief and chaos she caused, rather than a nice, competent nurse with no motive or suspicious psychological traits who just happened to be unlucky.

This is the kind of ignorance that is out there. ‘Mum saw some blood IN mouth’

NO!!! STOP!!! Mum did a diagram for the police showing where she saw the blood. This was shown to jury. I saw it with my own eyes. It was all around the mouth. There was no mistaking how it appeared and you are not going to misremember something like that.
