Omg what are the care quality commission hiding 😨
---
Jesus she was sabotaging child K during the care quality inspection.
Oh my god. This is bleeping mindblowing. Dr ZA told the examiner that they had concerns about deaths on the unit. AND THEY IGNORED IT.

They’re talking about Ms Slingo now and it is extremely hard to concentrate 🤣 @slingo16
thats what’s prompted me to do a word search 😂

can anyone tell what Dewi says about Peter Hitchens at the very start of this clip? I’m certain it’s not complementary but can’t quite make out what he says

---
This is just bloody disgraceful isn’t it. No matter what the reason for the increase in deaths, they just completely ignored it.

I know ultimately it was all down to Letby but listening to how many missed opportunities there was to stop her earlier makes me feel sick, the management have a lot to answer for. No wonder she thought she was invincible before being arrested she was literally allowed to get away with murder.
i seen that some parents are in attendance, I can’t imagine how they must feel especially parents that their babies were killed after suspicions were raised.
I didn’t realise we would get live coverage it’s going to get really interesting once we get to people on the stand.

The delightful Dr Phil Hammond was on Jeremy Vine's Radio 2 show today. Spouting the usual rubbish and saying she deserves to have an appeal so the correct evidence can be shown!

Jeremy then spoke to Andrew Taylor, a criminal barrister from Cardiff. Cannot believe this barrister is comparing this case to the Post Office Scandal! The aforementioned Mr Taylor has only read what is in the press so jumping on the bandwagon - although he claims all those saying she is innocent, are independent experts who have no affiliation with LL.

If you can bring yourself to listen to it via BBC Sounds, the segment starts at 1 hour and 8 minutes into the broadcast.

Oof so she’s on shift for 8 of the 10 deaths and the shift just before for the remaining 2. Seeing as she wasn’t adverse to sabotaging just before going off shift, I’d say that’s incredibly bad luck for Letby again 😅

Love that the junior doctors called her “Nurse Death”
Wait have I missed this???

Well I know enough to know Peter Hitchens should know better than start off with that comment

Or words to that effect!

It remains to be seen if these "independent experts" have no affiliation.
Given that the inquiry may well expose the role played by the doctors guild and nursing union.

My god she was interviewed by the RCPCH?? And they should have actually stopped altogether because of the concerns that criminality had taken place. She enjoyed all of it. The whole lot was sympathy and attention for her.

Right thinking out loud here.. the two deaths that keep being referred to, with no letter to say they are from the case but obviously in this period and obviously concerned the consultants and are part of the suspicious events… I think these are the two that happen just after her shift. And I think that’s why it was harder to bring charges.

I hadn’t made the link that Victorino Chua was convicted for insulin poisonings at Stepping Hill hospital in May 2015. Might just be coincidence but it would have been in the news especially North West local news too.

The sheer number of people, especially on Twitter/X, who are conflating the Letby conviction with the post office scandal, is mind blowing and if I can revert to Anglo Saxon language, EXTREMELY bleeping ANNOYING! There is simply no correlation between the two events.

And the same method too. In a bag. And another nurse got the blame. Very very interesting. Especially seeing as she does it and then leaves in one case. Texting constantly for updates.

If I was one of the wrongly convicted sub postmasters I would be extremely offended being compared to that evil witch. You can add andrew malkinson, Birmingham 6 and Guildford 4 to the list.

Silly fools so desperate for the "I told you so!" moment that will never come.

There is... but not in the way they are suggesting.

The issue in the Post Office scandal was that the post office inspectors had powers of prosecution, and that for reasons of internal politics and prestige they chose to ignore the warning signs, even when they were aware of potential problems.

All of which has echoes within what has been said in this inquiry... so far.
