New article in The Telegraph saying several former Cabinet ministers have expressed concern over Letby case. Might be raised in Parliament.
I assume that the concern is how it was ever allowed to happen, not in the verdicts?New article in The Telegraph saying several former Cabinet ministers have expressed concern over Letby case. Might be raised in Parliament.
She wasn't going to harm the babies in front of other people because she wanted to get away with it. Dr Jayaram caught her doing nothing when a tube was dislodged.
So there was no forensic evidence linking her, nobody saw her do anything even though it's a busy hospital and plenty of those who know her best her colleagues who worked with her for years have stood by her.
I assume that the concern is how it was ever allowed to happen, not in the verdicts?
Well in that case they can debate it in Parliament until they are blue in the face, it still won’t overturn 15 WHOs.i'm afraid not. the populists have found a new cause celebre to go along with the denial of climate change and the like
questions about how the stats were used began immediately after the trial. but only now are these people saying anything. now they are out of government they are looking for ways to undermine faith in institutions![]()

Ministers from the worst government this country has ever had are jumping on the bandwagon now
What stats were used? They can’t exactly refrain from showing the jury that she was physically there and on shift for every incident. That’s like saying the cross bow killing b yesterday was at the crime scene as proven by cctv is a stat. It’s the bare minimum of presenting a case against somebody, to show that they were there. Other healthcare serial killer cases have heavily relied on stats but I’m confused how they couldn’t be. “We had 60 patients test for high levels of digoxin that wasn’t prescribed” what would be the first thing you’d look at? Who was there every time? What would be the chance it wasn’t themquestions about how the stats were used began immediately after the trial. but only now are these people saying anything. now they are out of government they are looking for ways to undermine faith in institutions
BuT iTs ThE sTaTiStIcSThese articles and X mob never mention baby E’s mum. Her evidence was rock solid. Backed up by phone records, her husband and also the feeding schedule which proved she couldn’t be mistaken with her timings. She walked in on her screaming baby with blood around the mouth. Why would she be mistaken about that?
Of course Letby’s version of events differed, her notes differed (which I think is strong evidence of her falsifying her notes). She told mum she had already called for the doctor then sent mum away. But she had to send mum away because she hadn’t called for the doctor.
Why do people just ignore this stuff?
They also wouldn’t have seen her be unable to account for a 20 minute gap with baby A. She started her shift, checked equipment and baby A just collapsed! But that was 20 minutes after her shift started and it doesn’t take 20 minutes to check equipment. It was really noticeable in court but that doesn’t come across in reporting. And that was just on the day I was there when it was Myers asking the questions. Every single person who expresses concern about unsafe convictions are all people who never attended court.
Hindley is a good example actually. But always remember that she didn’t get out of jail alive.Menwhile Charles Bronson who robbed a post office of 20 quid when he was 19 was told by those employed for the former cabinet ministers that they realised his 50 years in prison was a bit over the odds but they never intend to release him. Due to the fact that they recognise they've tortured him to the degree that he's insane now and might upset the twin set & pearls brigade if he's released and does something untoward in the streets. And no public outcry about that was there?
This witch will be Myra Hindley. Lord this and that will take up her case. TV personalities will campaign for her freedom and newspapers write self righteous opinion pieces about injustices and the tragic waste of her life.
I hate this country sometimes.
