Bronzefield has 4 houseblocks, 1 is for people detoxing. On arrival you get a drug & alcohol screen (before you even get your phone call) and if you need to dry out or begin rehab, you go to HB1.

HB2 (where I was) has the MBU (D spur) an induction wing (A spur) which also has some lifers and cells for disabled prisoners. Then 2 other spurs, one was for “headbangers” very noisy and full of drama, and C spur which was for normal residents. Remand and sentenced all mixed in.

HB3 was on draw down, preparing to become the YOI wing.

HB4 is where the onces and baby killers go. They have en suite shower rooms, separate visiting sessions etc. there are some long term prisoners there so not all women on there are onces but all onces go there.

A woman I was on induction wing with was sentenced for grooming & it was all over the news. As soon as that happened, she went v quickly to HB4.

There’s also medical and segregation, they’re part of the main building rather than a houseblock. Most people who create drama get locked up in their cell for 48/72 hours rather than segregated.

Happy to answer questions. I will pop things on here as I remember them. There were some high profile lifers in there & I didn’t realise until I googled the prison when I left. I googled it bcse I didn’t even know where I was. Last memorable landmark was the M25 on my way in there.

I'm glad they are re-trying K as it was one that I couldn't believe she had 'got away' with. Awful for the family of poor baby Q and can only hope the family themselves have asked for this as that will make it easier for them to bear.

Have to say, I really don't know how a jury could be objective now. In the original trial the purported evidence was 'Dedicated nurse standing over baby'. Now surely it will be 'Mass baby murderer standing over baby'. I know they tend not to disclose current convictions (when I did a trial, it would really have helped to know that we were really being asked 'did this sex offender commit this sex offence?') but they won't find a jury that don't know who she is. I mean I think it's good and I hope it secures another conviction, but just not sure how it's allowed.

It’s just dawned on me that yesterday (10th October) was a whole year since the trial officially started with the prosecution starting with their opening statement. Theirs lasted about 3.5 days followed by 0.5 days for the defence (no surprise knowing what we know now!)

Then Dr Dewi Evans was the first witness for the prosecution on the fifth day (14th Oct). Followed by a further 7-8 months of prosecution witnesses before Lucy took the stand in May.

Also Letby was in Bronzefield at some point wasn't she? Did you come across her?

I did not. I did come across Emma Tustin and some other wildly murderous women but whose targets were not children.

The only real question one asked was “remand or sentenced”. Some of the sentences women would elaborate. Remand was more like anxiety inducing because it was open ended and I had lots of chats about anxiety and the future. I was an outlier as a dentist with several masters degrees. Ugh. I sound like a twat.

I’m still struggling very hard with it and therapy is going well. Dispelling myths helps me. I had to leave mumsnet because of the sanctimonious tw@ts on there who couldn’t imagine a situation where they would need to be interested in this. I didn’t think I’d need to be interested until I found out I’d been accused of having a machine gun.

I think Dewi has found evidence of lots of other babies whose breathing tubes became dislodged in the presence of Lucy Letby. Apparently the babies can pull themselves but it happened a lot. Wonder if there will be other cases added.

Any new crimes discovered from Hummingbird will be separate to the baby K trial

I’ve been having a discussion with Ian on Twitter for the last few days. It’s been lovely, he’s such a friendly soul!

As you know, he has deciphered Letby’s green note. He has also done another version with the help of a graphologist. Someone else on Twitter has also done a version of it, which to me is closer to the original.

I’ll post pictures of all the versions. Please can you let me know which one you think is closest to Letby’s? & if anyone fancies popping over to twitter to leave a comment, my twitter name is

Yeah I saw him claiming that the Lucy Letby thread had gone from being “the main hate thread” to the site completely falling off .
This site has well over 400,000 members and I’d say that the Lucy Letby thread was actually one of the quieter ones (until the verdicts happened and it got really busy for a bit after). Compared to threads like Mrs Hinch who now has 674 threads about her, Jack Monroe who has 500+ and Katie Price who has nearly 400 threads, this one is just small fry lol.

The reason people don’t talk on here is because everyone has moved on with their lives. They haven’t run off with their tails between their legs after reading the “unscrambled” note (or any of the other shite put out there by the idiotic conspiracy theorists who want to shag Letby) and suddenly realizing she’s NG, they just don’t give a toss about her. We’re all happily living our lives in the comfort that Lucy is banged up having a shit time, and will be for the rest of her days.
Sarritas little grift has failed miserably, Gill has embarrassed and outed himself as a senile old hack and the rest of the morons who post on twitter/facebook aren’t even worth mentioning. Not really much to talk about re Letby anymore.

Feel awful for baby Q’s parents hope they are doing ok and have support. This likely means they will never be compensated for baby Q’s life changing injuries, despite it largely being Karen Ree’s fault she was allowed back that day.

I’m hoping they will still have a chance because the standard of proof on civil cases are on the balances of probabilities rather than beyond reasonable doubt. Maybe they could argue negligence instead? Lucy having to tend to another baby in a different room? (We know this isn’t the cause but might be where hospital could still be held responsible because she would have had no excuse to leave the room if she didn’t have babies across different rooms ).

I thought it could have something to do with the fact the murder charge for baby k was dropped. I think this might have subconsciously effected one or two jurors. And they potentially doubted the case for baby k before they’d even heard it.

most of the people shouting loudest to free Lucy seemed to have only jumped on this after the conviction and didn’t spend the 10 months prior following the case in any detail. They know bugger all.
