You would still have to remember the name in the first place and she contually searched people, even years later. She cannot then claim she didn't remember doing so, that's an obvious lie.
Yeah so she could’ve searched them say the day after and then it would’ve been in her searched history which she could’ve gone into rather than typing/remembering the name. She may not remember the name specifically but if she went onto her history and saw the name then she may remember who it was?

Lucy searches lots of people on FB but doesnt recall a specific search on fb - suspicious.

Consultant is present at alot of birth and doesn't recall a birth he was present at - well he can't be expected to remember every birth he's attended.

Do we know what her blood disorder was? I do feel so sorry for this mother, she's been through finding out she has a chronic disease, her future pregnancies if any may be difficult and traumatic and she's lost a baby. How is B doing now I wonder?
I think she just searched everyone on FB, this is definitely a symptom of having no life outside work, whether it was patients' parents or anyone else. It is voyeuristic, but also a symptom of being lonely.

But would you search them every few months, I mean even up to 2 years later? And if you did would you genuinely not remember doing so and say so to the police?
If I was traumatised and felt for the families yeah i probably would, but we are all so different. I look up the most random people from my past, just to see what they are upto. Again it’s just the whole being a nosey parker thing. She might of been on Facebook and though “ ah I wonder how they are getting on” and just typed their name in and looked for like 5 seconds. Within an hour I could’ve looked up over 100 people!

Could've also been an accidental click in that case! I always tap the wrong thing on my phone and I'm a young person 🤣

i don’t think this is true. the threshold to be found guilty is to be considered guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, so if the jury have reasonable doubt they should find the defendant not guilty. I don’t think they are allowed reasonable doubt.
Ok, I see what you mean, but the word reasonable is used implying that there could be some unreasonable doubt. Which would be subjective.
It doesn’t say beyond any doubt of any kind.

I really don’t think the Facebook searches show anything, I’ve had people I worked with and looked after that I’ve really cared about, and even looked their family up on Facebook because I heard so much about them and was interested to see what they were like. Call me weird, I don’t care it’s just me being nosey, but if anything happened to these people I’d look guilty as sin but infact I’d be completely innocent. It’s just us as humans being inquisitive. Makes me actually wonder if I even want Facebook anymore, amazing how it can be twisted when it’s totally innocent.
Really? WOW..it’s just not done. When you become a health professional, you take oaths..you behave appropriately so what in gods earth would a nurse be stalking the parents of dead babies..screenshots of sympathy cards that the murderess sent to those grieving parents. They are a trophy..the FB searched gave her a thrill. Disgusting

Yeah and one person leads to another you might go on one profile then see they have someone as a friend who you think oh I will see what they have been up to .

And this is the whole point of Facebook. It’s what it’s there for, They’ve looked on her searches and thought yep she’s guilty straight away, how they are using it as evidence is beyond me. Other nurses in the hospitals could of searched for them too?!? It’s a lot more common then they are making out. They are clutching at straws.

I suppose my point would be is that even if you are not typing the name in every time you are still looking at their profile, presumably browsing their posts and pictures. I think at that point if you said you didn't know who they were you would be lying as otherwise why are you doing it?
I find the voyeurism weird but I understand plenty of people do it, I'm younger than Lucy Letby but I just wouldn't do it cause I personally find it weird but each to their own. My real issue is the denying. Saying "I don't remember" when your clearly do and when there is a obvious and innocent explanation for it too.
It's the lying that's suspicious, NOT the FB searches.

Maybe she just randomly thought about them? Something triggered her memory into remembering that certain patient and that made her remember their name? Like I may not remember someone’s name but then someone talking about them I may then remember? And she may not remember searching them because it’s only from talking about them in the first place that she thought about them. I think especially if it was traumatic then more details may be in the back of her mind and be triggered if someone spoke about it. Even if someone spoke about themselves having a bad shift/patient/patient outcome being bad it may trigger her to think of these patients? Or she also searched others so could be triggered from others speaking about a patient they were more attached to/had a good outcome/reminding Lucy of these patients which she then searched?

Respectfully that's your opinion, it's not fact or proof.

Search history only saves about the last 10 searches. Although this was 2015 so I can’t remember what Facebook was like back then as is changed so much.
Even if it was in her search history, she’s still clicking on the profile to snoop. Multiple times. Of the family of a baby’s death that apparently affected her. But she claims to have no memory of doing so. I don’t buy it.

Again it's the denying that's the issue for me.

Anyway, clearly we just disagree and there's no harm in that but let's not take up more of the thread going round in circles!! 😂😂

In some cases the babies were only 24 hours old so she wouldn’t have any attachment to them or the parents.

Yeah but you don’t know that. You don’t know it gave her a thrill, your missing my point. You cannot tell me people don’t make random searches on Facebook in any profession. In normal circumstances your history etc isn’t searched up, if she knew they would be she probably wouldn’t of. It’s all speculation

it is subjective, so in order to make it more objective they introduced what’s called the “reasonable person” test which essentially means that a doubt can be considered reasonable if a reasonable person would hold it based on the facts. there isnt such a thing as “unreasonable doubt” that would be accepted by the court :) i hope this makes sense, my cousin studies law so this is what he has told me

Don’t know how true this is? But I’m sure I saw someone say on here because she denied it that it meant she couldn’t be questioned on it? So maybe that’s the reason she denied it (again not sure if this it correct?

When I'm stressed not in a good place , I would look up an ex , a teenage friend I had fallen out with more to see how they were doing. I sometimes ruminate on the past and how things have gone. I've also looked up my best friend's ex as he was a fool !!! Some people are really nosey (I'm one of these) scary to think my nosiness could be brought in court 🤣🤣🤣

An example of this for me, unless something comes out otherwise, is the writing of ‘I killed them on purpose because I’m not good enough to care for them. I’m evil I did this.’ I suppose there is a tiny smidgen of doubt from other posters saying she was probably writing out of despair and anguish but it really doesn’t give me reasonable doubt. I’d probably need a psychologist to give evidence on this to give me reasonable doubt I think. Especially combined with all the other evidence.

just me thinking aloud .. but could these first few incidents and deaths, that she needed some time off after, actually be the trigger for the rest?

for me there is currently reasonable doubt but that many coincidences seams hard to get my head around.
