If I had £1 for everytime a client told me I was wrong because they’d googled it/their friend’s cousin did A Level law/that’s not what they said on *insert dubious YouTube/twitter account…I’d never need to work againI bet Ben wonders why he bothered studying and training for nearly decade when he could have became a legal eagle twitter expert for the price of broadband each month so he could excuse his rantings on X and do his research on YouTube rather than westlaw and lexis, both respected databases used by legal EXPERTS.
(ps happy to be wrong sometimes (through gritted teeth obvs) butyou’d be surprised how common it is to assume that the professional they are literally paying must be wrong)
