The GMC investigation process is utterly vile to the point that people kill themselves during it. There is a significant racism problem within the GMC as well, so Dr Ravi in particular was at risk.

Imagine the consultants had phoned the police. The police pitch up to the ward, the hospital execs say that no it’s a vexatious complaint, the police don’t get full cooperation with their investigation. It is far better to have the hospitals buy in.

And on top, to blame the consultants of this is fucking disgusting of you. Fucking weirdo.

So much this!! I didn’t fully understand the fear of the GMC until I married a consultant. The mere mention of a GMC investigation causes him untold amounts of stress… it isn’t a threat that should be thrown around the way it is. It’s clear to see from what has transpired that the consultants did absolutely everything within their power to stop her. Hospital execs failed these babies and they need to be held accountable too.

Their final memories of their babies are marred with her having inserted herself like a vulture over their grief. I said the same to my OH watching the Panorama. It’s awful. Despicable. Grotesque.
It really is, imagine one of your last memories of your baby is their murderer bathing them right in front of you. There isn’t a word to describe it. 😢

She's very clever, don't underestimate her. She will try recruit people to cause of poor Lucy especially with the publicity. She might even fool experts into forming an alternative hypothesis.

She's researched stastical analysis she made sure she used multiple methods to avoid detection , no one saw her do it. The only thing that concretely says she did it was she present on all the shifts and she knows it. There was no MO and limited forensic evidence , panorama mentioned this. The police found it really hard to put this case together because she's a slippery manipulative fucker. Luckily they had the Facebook searches but if those weren't there or the note it was highly likely she would have gotten NG.
She wasn't trying to kill she was trying to cause chaos.
I agree with a lot of what your saying but I don't think she's that clever. Infact I think she's pretty thick and she got 'lucky'.

Multiple Facebook searches? All the paperwork at home? Being caught literally red handed a few times. We know now that Drs knew from really early on. She's not that smart. I wouldn't credit her with intelligence.

Not pulling any shit. Just saying that claiming to have been manhandled by the police is one thing that could possibly ring true.

Where did I say the police are just as bad? Are you unable to comprehend the written word or do you enjoy expressing anger in a way that is designed to abuse and shame and humiliate another person? Because you can do it all day long, it doesn't bother me one bit, it's only a reflection of yourself.
The police are very capable of being corrupt, abusive, incompetent, and as dishonest as LL

So this isn't you? Did LL magically take over your hands while you typed this in?

I hope you feel ashamed and humiliated. You're comparing the police to a woman who killed babies, taunted the parents, and gleefully got up on the stand and had a whole month of lying to peoples faces... because you couldn't be arsed to look up which arrest she cried wolf about.

Has the married consultant she was having a fling with been named? He was clearly taken in by her …jeez!!
I feel so sorry for his wife. Imagine finding out your Husband has been having an affair, then finding out it was with a baby murderer and that he's been coming back to you and your family every day. You'd be absolutely sick.

Never commented before, been silently reading all your posts over the past few months. Im also a nurse, same age as lucy and seemed to have qualified at the same time- so had an interest in this case since she was first arrested/released/rearrested etc.

Absolutely baffled how anyone never mind somebody whos trained to literally care for people and do no harm has done this. Really was hoping she was innocent but found out pretty quickly she was not.

interested to see what her motive is- agree with a few comments on here she has likely been over indulged all her life by her parents, could never do anything wrong, liked the attention. Or maybe like a few colleagues ive worked with she has some weird god complex and did it just because she could (not that i have ever worked with any serial killers that im aware of) hope to god she rots for a very long time

I don’t believe dr NN at all. He left her chocolates, offered her his car, drove her home, went for walks with her, went for meals alone with her and even a day trip to London. Messaged her for hours on end. It was a reciprocal emotional affair in the very least. I’ve come across men like him in the workplace. He may never have been serious about her but he certainly indulged the attention and the whole thing probably excited him.

I also think he should tell his kids before someone else does. There may be reporting restrictions but too many people will know who he is. His kids may even figure out eventually too. They deserve to hear it from him but I’m guessing honesty and integrity is not his strong point.
I've always thought Dr NN came off like a slimy little toad in his messages. He knew what he was doing. The chocolates in the locker 🤢 straight from the Ross Gellar school of foreplay 🤢🤢

There's coverups everywhere , I witnessed someone picking up and throwing an elderly frail lady probably about 5 stone on a bed man handling her before i qualified . I reported them , She died the next day of a stroke when I came into work , I found out she'd died I reported it to the management. No post mortem happened She deserved to be handled gently with care at the end of life not thrown about.
They threatened me basically as a trouble maker and said she was dying anyway. They threaten your livelihood pretty much and reputation.

Even if someone is dying you don't throw them like a sack. Disgusting.

I was verging on feeling sorry for LL’s parents until it came out about dad threatening Drs and her mum wailing outside the court room. If he hadn’t bullied the consultants maybe lives would have been saved. They deserve to lose everything.

I would love to hear from Melanie Taylor, Sophie Ellis and Ashleigh Hudson whether they all thought of Letby as nice sweet Lucy. Her texts show enough of a bitchy horrible side to her, she thought she was superior to everybody. She hated Mel. She clearly disliked many of the others and had her gang of “people whose face didn’t fit”. Even Jennifer Jones K called her out a few times for her weirdness.
Funny how not once in those texts does she describe being victimised or bullied by consultants eh. In fact I’m pretty sure on the stand she said she had a good working relationship with all of them apart from the female doc in the GaNg Of FoUR. Would love to hear her tales!
She does mention in texts though a general vibe of nurses talking about her capabilities, I think to Yvonne Griffith. Yes because every time you were on the alarms would go and babies would die or nearly die you psychopath.
The mother of the little boy Asa, formally complained about her horrendous comment. She was not little miss perfect, she was a dick.
That’s a few times now I’ve read that she was awkward and actually left early most nights out. I hope her friends let the penny drop- she wasn’t there as one of you! She was awkward because she isn’t real. She spent her holiday in Ibiza asking for details on which baby was on the unit. Somebody said she would have known which staff and which babies were there every night regardless of whether she was on shift. She is fucking weird. She corrected NJ on another nurses shift pattern from 7 years ago - he called her out on it because it shows she’s an utter freak. Can’t recall my arse.

@Tofino no I had no idea the chap from the Allitt case was at the Trust! So strange. That article was flabbergasting. So much to take in 😓 it sounds as though he’s saying they were extremely fobbed off by the directors? That they said explicitly it hasn’t been linked to criminality of one person, yet Dr Breary had presented them with the table showing she was there for everything?? It’s all absolute madness.

Well finally I’ve caught up with the threads!

I knew that when the verdict came in I’d be doing something else, which was travelling on a train with incredibly iffy Wi-Fi. When it finally did work and I saw the news, I was absolutely elated. Seeing her miserable mug shot, it was exactly what I expected it to be.

But I’ve got to be honest, elation turned very quickly to anger. She’s got what she deserved and will obviously get a WLO. If Wayne Couzens got one there is literally no chance she won’t. But the pain for the parents will never end and it was that thought that enraged me.

I know nothing will ever make up for what those babies suffered and what their parents continue to suffer. It still enrages me to think that those tiny babies that she murdered only really got to experience one thing in their very short lives, excruciating pain that we as adults couldn’t even begin to comprehend. There can never be justice for that.

And although nothing can make up for everything these parents lost, I desperately want them all to be financially compensated so that they never have to work again, that the rest of their lives can be as comfortable as possible in that sense; that they never have to at least suffer any hardship in that regard. I know money isn’t any kind of substitute but I can’t think of anything else, I just want them to never have to suffer again.

And particularly those parents whose children survived but now need a lot of care and support. That care and support should be provided in abundance and the parents should be compensated so that they can be there at all times if they wish to.

I don’t know, I just want the best for them all, whatever that may look like. I didn’t think I’d still be this angry even after the bitch got sent down. It all feels so futile.

I’ve got more to say but I’ll come back.

This article made me sick this morning. His pathetic excuse of a statement. And the fact he’s been allowed to bounce about jobs considering he had to leave COCH after a vote of no confidence. Utter wanker

Yep and will continue to receive a hefty pension and probably some hefty payout. Scum scum scum.

The worst but for me is, management threatened the consultants by saying they would report them to the GMC if they continued raising issues about L. The GMC are notorious for rarely siding with doctors so imagine being struck off and losing your livelihood and years of study/work for making a stand against a killer?! Makes my blood boil.

I hope it doesn't sound like I'm deflecting but this is why I want people to understand this is far from exclusively an NHS problem. 'Executive' jobs are basically interchangeable. They're completely disconnected. They flit between corporate positions in different businesses as soon as an offer rolls in, whatever sector it may be. Usually something like the NHS is a stepping stone to get a high paying private job.
Yes, back in the 90s my social worker father sat in on a big RNIB meeting. The Director said ‘Don’t make the mistake of thinking we either know or care anything about blind people.’ 😮

Well we can agree to disagree but the point being is - none of us have any facts to go on. There were most certainly three different arrests, we know that much for certain. That means three different arrest videos. Therefore truth and logic dictate that if LL is claiming to be traumatised during an arrest where she was in her nightie then the only solution to confronting that is to offer to play all three arrest videos.

I can easily believe the police treated her badly because I'm not a fan of the police and they make a lot of errors.

I don't know why this issue was even raised in court, it was relatively redundant and her defence should have raised the point I'm making - were it not for one thing - nobody's defence is ever going to request for arrest videos to be played as it works against their case. This put LL's defence in an impossible situation and IMO it was a silly 'court game' played between the professionals.
It was raised in court to illustrate just how easily she lies for sympathy. Simple as.

Absolutely this. From what I’ve read it seems like he was trying to make out that he (and his wife) were victims of stalking like behaviours from LL but perhaps that was before the messages between him and LL were laid out in court. He seemed a perfectly willing participant in their ‘friendship’ from those messages.

They think they may have already found more victims 🥺

It has always troubled me greatly, her little story before she murders baby C about how to get over one dead baby she was given another dying baby at Liverpool women’s 😰it always sounded like utter bullshit and very odd. Now we know two babies died there in her time there and are being investigated. It will be those poor babies 😓
