Not sure if this has been said but I feel quite uncomfortable with some of the reporting about her health problems and potential issues conceiving as a motive. Plenty of women are unable to have children, I think it’s quite offensive to suggest it’s a reason why she murdered small babies. She did it because she is evil, and a psychopath, and maybe for her being unable to conceive was a trigger, but to be honest if you’re inclined to kill babies, anything could be a trigger.

Also thinking on the sentencing, defendants don’t have to attend their trial and can be tried in their absence - there’s plenty of procedure to follow etc but it is possible provided the court is satisfied the trial will still be fair etc. Not sure how, practically speaking, given they don’t have to attend their trial at all, you could then compel them to attend sentencing (although they definitely should have to hear the damage, hurt and pain caused!). Realistically though I’m not sure it can easily happen - there’s a saying that hard cases make bad law, which is basically that knee jerk legislative changes following difficult cases are usually inadequate and ill thought out.
Lastly, I hope she doesn’t try anddo anything silly, firstly she needs to sit and think about what she’s done every single day (regardless of taxpayer cost etc), and secondly they’re investigating thousands of other babies - if there are more, their parents will likely never know
Absolutely disgusting the way he threatened those consultants.
