@O'lee I hope you’re ok! I know you went to court a lot too, it must have been very emotional. Hope you’re holding up alright xx
Yeah I'm going good thanks, I was in court for all the verdicts. Gonna sit down at some point in the next couple of days and do a long post articulating my thoughts about it all

A narc won’t commit suicide. They can’t control the narrative after their death, they’ll make feeble attempts. She’ll probably run a bic across her ankle then lie on the floor pretending to be unconscious

I’m gonna go off what the person I knew was like during school

She’d constantly have a drama, whether it be boys, family, mental health, anything. There was ALWAYS something. Very self absorbed but slyly, she too presented herself as vulnerable, sweet and kind. Gentle and quiet. The only ones who knew what a vindictive cunt she was were the people closest to her, and even then that took a while. Narcs like these brainwash you. It’s scary
Don’t all hurt me, but for this reason, I feel a bit sorry for Dawn. She’s a victim of Letby’s behaviour too: she’s been manipulated and gaslit and genuinely believes her ‘kind’ friend exists. The person she thinks she grew up with and chose as godmother to her children doesn’t actually exist, instead this monster does. It really fucks with your head. It will take her years to begin to understand it.

My ex, my eldest child’s father, is a narc. I honestly don’t think I’ll ever fully recover from it.

I will speak very honestly here. I was dismissed from my Trust last year for a none clinical error in a way in which I reported safeguarding concerns to the safeguarding team about someone I was not directly caring for. I was honest in my error and had I not been no one would have known. Prior to that I had raised serious concerns with the head of my department multiple times and the last time spoke about opening the official whistleblowing policy because I was so concerned for patient safety.
One situation involved a baby dying that I felt the Trust was responsible for and how they lied in the investigation report given to parents.
I didn’t involve a union or anyone prior to the dismissal because I didn’t expect it to get that far. When I was dismissed I involved them and a solicitor. Both, without knowing and separately, asked if I had ever raised concerns or whistleblew. I said how I had raised significant concerns. They both said that is why they have dismissed you. The NMC seen no wrong doing in my actions and when I went down the route of an employment tribunal the NMC solicitor made threats to me where I dropped the case. I just wanted it over. I have to say I feel a million times better out of that hospital but it makes me sad for those accessing care. I can completely understand why those doctors felt the way they did and after watching the BBC programme I feel that consultant was 100% genuine in his reaction and emotions. It is very rare to see and I hope he is receiving support.

Right all, I need to turn in because I’ve got a very early start tomorrow and should be in bed already. I could easily stay up all night discussing this on here with you, and I’m stressed out in advance of how much catching up on going to have to do! However. This case has taken over my life a bit, and today a lot.

I’m incredibly lucky that I happened to be off work and able to share everyone’s feelings in live time today. Like many of you, it’s hit me differently to how I thought it would and it doesn’t even feel bittersweet, I’m going to bed with a heavy heart tonight. We all deal with these things differently, and I know I’ve been posting a lot today - no one in my real life is invested in this trial, and I’ve been privileged and helped to be able to vent and work through my thoughts and feel seen and understood by you virtual friends today.

I’ve noticed that some usually prolific posters haven’t been around much or at all today, so either they’re in their secret VIP chat 😉 or else they’re struggling or just taking a step back for whatever reason. I just want to say I hope you’re all ok - you’ve provided a lot of laughs and support from afar over the last 10 months, even before you knew it. Take care everyone, and I’ll see you when I see you. Much love ❤

I appreciate it's all hearsay because it's just words online and I could be talking out my arse - but as I mentioned my mum worked with Dr Ravi, he was a registrar at the time and she was a senior nurse on a very reputable children's unit for kids with needed bone marrow transplants. Honestly, she says he is the kindest man who is absolutely excellent at his job and treats patients/families with the upmost care and compassion. She has absolutely no doubt he must have been put in an unimaginable position by the 'high ups'. I myself have questioned it before without knowing enough about the situation, but having heard him speak and now realising so many of the nurses I've grown up around who are phenomenal at their jobs - trust him implicitly, I have no doubts he did everything he could. Lucy Letby may not even be where she is now if he had never started the whole thing off, lets not forget that. It's horrendous to be a whistleblower and even have words pass your lips where you think a colleague could be involved in something so serious, imagine actually living it? This is NOT his fault.

Morning shitheads.

Was reflecting about yesterday. Well no bloody wonder we were all stunned. We had the video clip drama and then BOOM the verdict. There was no time to mentally prepare and our guard was down.

@MedeaWho @OldBlondie noseymoo was on last night but didn't divulge anything, I think its taken its toll (reading between the lines). Anyway she is off on holidays today so not sure if she will update. Thought I'd save you scrolling through a million and 1 pages!

Hope everyone is OK and if you're not please reach out xx

She was so arrogant and provocative attending a mediation meeting where she challenged Dr Ravi by asking him more than once whether he would work with her when she returned to the ward. He diplomatically tried to answer in a neutral way, so she pushed him again asking him very directly. She’s an utter bitch, who held the power in that mediation meeting which should never have been arranged in the first place. I hope he takes disciplinary action against the organisers of the meeting and the horrendous apology letter.

I don’t know how to quote a post from the previous thread but it was regarding donating to the charities.

As kind as it is to donate to these charities, which I have done in the past, as Bliss have helped me when my son was born premature, they are all large charities who receive millions of donations per year and are definitely not struggling.

A little idea instead if people really wanted to donate, your local hospital normally have a children’s ward or SCBU/NICU charity who desperately need donations to help with the running of the family areas etc who greatly appreciate any donations.

My local hospital, where my son spent the first few weeks of his like in NICU/SCBU have asked if they could publish his story that I wrote (very emotional and raw time for me) on their social media tomorrow morning. I’ve raised money for them in the past and always make donations for them every Christmas too. So it’s going to be emotional seeing his story and photos published tomorrow after this evil evil cow being found guilty today. The amount of trust you put into these people.

Those poor innocent babies and families, I hope Lucy rots in hell, I really do.

Hi all...

I posted early on and had to pull away for my own sanity. Was on shift in my NICU today (yesterday now) when the news broke 💔 this has rocked our unit and I'm sure the neonatal field as a whole.

My heart goes out to those innocent babies, their families, and the families enduring a neonatal journey right now. Honoured that parents trusted me with their precious sick baby today ❤ I don't know how we'll ever move forward from this.

Finally caught up since 3pm today.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has contributed to these threads since October and really helped with my understanding of what was going on. I've been here from the start but dipped in and out.

In the beginning I was truly on the fence. I think I didn't WANT to believe it. My own daughter was premature and very ill and honestly the NICU nurses CARRIED me those first few weeks. The insulin evidence was the turning point for me and I've been so worried this last month that she would get away with this

Huge love and respect for the 7 consultants at COCH who risked their jobs to stop this monster. And the jury. While we've been frustrated with them over the last 10 months, they've sacrificed more than just time to get us here.

I hope all the management twats with their inflated salaries and egos who told the consultants to apologise to her and essentially tried to cover all this up get taken to court. As a doctor, I can tell you that NHS managers are the half the reason the NHS is in such shit. They don’t care about patients they just care about targets and making sure their Trust doesn’t look bad. Greedy, useless bastards.

Absolutely they will have known something was seriously wrong and essentially they did everything to cover it up.

I saw an interview with Dr Jayaram where he stated that within 10 minutes, when they could finally make contact, the police were listening to him and clearly very concerned … can you imagine the elation of being “believed” and listened to after being ignored for MONTHS by management and having to write a letter apologising to LL knowing she was the one causing harm 💔

Child H has one NG, one undecided.

Child G has one NG, two G.

Child H was difficult to follow from our end during the prosecution, most people on the thread were a bit WTF and didn't really know what was going on. Child G's NG was the incident with the screen the doctors left and the monitor turned off that the doctors apologised for.
Child G and the monitor has really frustrated me and I’m gutted it’s an NG verdict. Because the only person who said the doctors left the monitor off is Lucy. Lucy the now-convicted murderer.

The doctors apologised to the other nurse at the time purely because they were told they left it off. At that time they had no reason to believe that it was actually a murderer telling them so.

i’m relieved she has all the guilty verdicts but I’m a bit baffled that they can find her guilty of all 7 murders then not apply that knowledge and evidence to these other incidents. Why would you trust a murderer when she said it was the doctors who turned the monitor off?

I have no doubt in my mind it was Lucy. She gaslit them all in that particular incident and unfortunate it worked on the jury too 😔

“I did it take me instead” has been on my mind too. I’ve watched my mum react when my brothers used to get arrested at home, never has she said anything like that
I think her mum knew what she was capable of, she knew that she wasn’t innocent and that was a last ditch attempt to get her out the shit for the final time in her life
If someone took my door off and arrested my kid for murder I’d be like what the fuck is going on? Not “I did it”

I felt so sorry for her Mum and Dad all the way through, I think their age has something to do with that, I hate to see anyone of a certain age fall on bad times and having your only child charged with multiple murders and attempted murder must be very difficult.

But the stuff that's come out since the verdict has made me rethink. They're definitely odd and I do feel that there's going to be a lot more discussions about them.

I wonder if they knew what she'd stashed in the wardrobe at their house?

Also as Daddy made her bed and reshuffled her cuddly toys minutes after her arrest I wonder if he knew what was under it? If he was just doing that to gain access to her room/stash.

You don't just become a serial killer. How many signs did they ignore or maybe not recognise? How much have they covered up?

no but I have to say I’m surprised they all signed the letter apologising to Lucy. I don’t think I would have done on principal if I suspected foul play. However, I think I read they were threatened with referral to GMC so perhaps were frightened into it by the exec.
I think it wasn't a choice. I can't imagine how they were feeling. What a bizarre situation to find yourself in. They must've been questioning their own sanity at this point.

I will say I did gasp when the Nurse brazenly stated that they'd all ask if Lucy was on shift when any alarms went off. That it was a recognised and accepted thing. I still can't wrap my head around that and if it is true I don't know why you'd admit it on TV.

Sadly there's still so much to come out and to understand 💔

Not a NICU mum but my daughter died at birth and this utterly devastating.

I’m so pleased she’s been convicted but what an awful thing to have happened. I’m in touch with several NICU loss mums and they are broken by this and questioning everything.

Did anyone else think that Dr B and Dr J have done public interviews to protect themselves? To distance themselves? Yes we knew, yes we tried to intervene but we weren’t believed, it’s not our fault, we’re the good guys?

I just get a funny feeling about it.
No.
And I hope they never stop talking about it.
People should not and cannot forget that they tried to take this to the top several times and were beaten down.

They were bullied into apologising and sympathising the most evil woman to walk this planet.

I welcome hearing their stories, and always will.
