I definitely think either we’ll get evidence of historic suspicious behaviours or something that’s triggered her in some way, whether miscarriage, break up or other kind of trauma. Not trying to excuse her, I just think it’s the most likely thing to happen?

Or, from a cod psychology point of view, and this is me speculating and certainly not saying that any of this means others in similar circumstances should be worried I’m applying it to all humans- could be she have had a depressed mother and seeing the babies get attention in that way caused her to resent the newborns? Or perhaps her dad was emotionally abusive to her mother and to see the dads looking after the babies was triggering? Or maybe she flew through school and university being a high achiever and she couldn’t bear to see the babies being so vulnerable as she rejected that part of herself and it disgusted her to the point where it was unbearable and she had to act? I imagine there was a reason she went into neonatal nursing (not nefarious) but perhaps therapy may have been a better option (if she is guilty).

If she were guilty of the crimes she's accused of would it be a sentence for each murder/attempted murder or rolled into one?

There was a text message read in court yesterday about Lucy splitting her shift. It could explain her being there more often, it seems that she was called in a lot. There was also mention of her being asked to do extra shifts.

I meant to ask this yesterday...for someone who doesn't work in health, what is a split shift?

No no I don’t think so, I think the parents left shortly after the change over. The baby deteriorated during the night shift which at this point letby would have been working ?

Where did you hear all this about Operation Hummingbird?

These murders/attempted murders all happened in fairly quick succession, surely any from earlier would have too so would fit into this pattern?
And there weren’t many deaths there in previous years anyway.

They do use their own phone.
It's stated in the vcreate contract.

Would that be at the parent's request though and using a work phone, not NHS phone - as nurses could be given work phones as well that are their own in a way.

Is anyone local to the hospital that can say what they think of it? I think some people jump on the bandwagon of horror stories and rumours about the hospital. I saw a post and there was many comments saying their baby was in the NNU while Lucy was there and they felt looked after, also good comments about the maternity. A few comments saying it has a bad rep but it is no worse than other hospitals. Then there is comments about how it needs bulldozed
