I was out of the blue diagnosed with Breast cancer as a result of a mamogram. I wanted HRT and my brilliant GP said let’s do a mamogram first, skipped in for it, the radiologist said have you any lumps, nope said I and went on my merry way, forgetting all about it until I got the call that I was being referred to a surgeon. It was 2cm and the minute I got that call, I put my hand straight on it.. I’ve lumpy boobs anyway so I hate checking them but would in the shower, my GP had checked them 6 months previously. Anyway I had surgery four weeks ago today, just a lumpectomy and had a sentinel lymph node removed to check it. All margins and lymph nodes are clear and I’m feeling much better now. Chemo depends on Oncotype result, it’s sent to America and takes a while to come back, but other than that it will be radiation for 4 weeks and hormone suppressors for 5/7 years.
I’m telling you all this because it’s so important that you check check check and go for mammograms when you are called or even have one privately, they aren’t very expensive didn’t notice or feel mine and it was there so please mind yourselves.
Back to the business at hand, I’ve been referring people to the podcast and they are coming back to me saying the wouldn’t convict on what they heard, I’ve had to tell them that what they heard isn’t even a minute fraction of what the jury have heard. It’s scary that people think this, I know they haven’t followed and discussed it daily like we have here, but still!, im so glad to have made my way back to my tribe, I’ve missed you all.
So you find out on Wednesday what treatment you'll be having?

Guyssss I’m fuming! Firstly I missed all of your insane chatter these last few days because I’ve been in a post anaesthetic haze since Thursday (nothing serious just necessary). And the first bloody day I actually have the energy to read anything and it’s not even bloody on. Also yes I did vote ginger and not even soz - my curtains DO match my drapes
Also post script - asked the nurses in the recovery suite what they thought about LL. 3 said guilty 1 said not sure but thinks it’s the hospital covering their ass.

Hi everyone I'm a newbie to the thread. I've been on tattle a few years but dip in and out, I was reading the HE/BBC threads and wondered if there was a LL thread and ended up here about a month ago. I've been on catch up ever since and have really enjoyed reading all your posts. This is the best thread on Tattle.
I'd already listened to the podcast and had thought she was guilty when the notes were reported. Reading the wiki and the discussion here has just cemented that. I pray the jury is back from deliberations soon with a unanimous verdict. I can't imagine how awful it currently is for the poor parents.
I'm not ginger but my youngest is ginger with blue eyes (apparently it runs on my Mum's side - NE roots!).

My sympathy is 100% with the parents. This is terrible for them. I don't entirely blame the jury because I think they should be in a hotel somewhere (and if that's not possible for them, they shouldn't be on the jury in the first place).

I work in construction and we call it the Monday Club. Usually it’s the bricklayers and scaffolders that are the worst for it because they’ve been on the bag all weekend…
