Bet she was one of them who kept her uniform on to mince round Tesco Morrisons after work
Reminds me of queuing to get into sainsbury's in the pandemic and this bloke in a suit flashed his nhs lanyard at the front of the queue announcing "iM a KeYwOrKeR" to get in before the rest of us. I bet he's never set foot on a ward.
I worked on a ward all the way through and never queue jumped, I cringed for those who did as there was no need.

Youngest has dieticians today. She seems to think dysphagia is no big deal and I can just with hold his milk and he will magically be able to eat meals. She's trying to reduce his protein shakes but I've been standing firm. Gonna be a long appointment. Watch the verdict come in as I'm busy dealing with this ffs.

Should also add that having worked in many teams in many offices, I don't buy the '12 people with lives is hard to coordinate' thing. Even in large teams, there's no way we had this level of absence. And that's office work that wasn't all that important. Not the extremely high stakes of the families of murdered babies waiting for justice (and - if you're inclined that way - an accused person waiting to find out if they'll spend the rest of their life in prison, and parents waiting to hear if their daughter will be convicted as a terrible serial killer).

This really feels like groundhog day. I can't imagine ever getting a verdict (I know that's melodramatic). The rain is getting to me. Part of me wishes I'd never got involved in following this as it's taken a toll but most of me feels like it's a tiny act of service to wait here with the parents and hold them in my thoughts and heart as they endure this appallingly long wait.

I’m my son’s carer and I’ve been unable to attend the last two times I’ve been cited for this reason. They were fine about it and excused me. The last time I attended jury duty I was 8 months pregnant with my firstborn. Still showed up every day of the two week trial.
---

That’s unfortunate 🤣
HOW do some people get called up soooo many times and then here I am, would really love to do it, and don’t get called up 😭 my mum is actually the only one on our family to get called but she was excused for mental health reasons.

FWIW if any of them were coming from SW Manchester or Cheshire way, they’d have been absolutely screwed this morning.
The M56 was shut and every other route into Manchester was absolute bedlam. I went the very long way round of up the M6 and then onto the 62 into Manchester. 25 minute journey took over 2 hours

I hope it's today, mostly for the families' sake!
Selfishly also for myself. I have a really hard, stressful and scary thing to do later today and distraction mostly by reading/shitposting on tattle is the only thing that's making me feel better. That and propranolol. Had it prescribed a while ago but I've been nervous abaout taking it due to having asthma, but today's anxiety is an absolute beast: shaking, palpitations, nausea etc. Propranolol has killed it dead. Wish I'd been brave enough to try it earlier!!

One of the worst things about the juror uncertainty/absences is everybody having to traipse to court and wait until 10.30am just for the formality of the judge adjourning court for the day.

I’ve just back in from a rare night out for dinner with a friend. I got all dolled up and if I don’t say so myself look fabulous 😆. We are home early as she has work in the morning, I had 4 wines and I’m tipsy 🥴 (I don’t drink often at all and I’m a light weight) just as well I’m in bed by half nine 🫣- hope everyone is good this evening! I’m just off to catch up!

It's the eyes. Even when I was leader of camp NG I said she looked dead behind the eyes. Soul less.
Fucking hell with the eyes talk I thought you were going to go with ‘even when I was leader of the taliban I said she looked dead behind the eyes’ 🤣🤣

Somebody needs to do a transcript… is there an easy way to do it?
---
It’s not really his wife interviewing him though, it’s mostly him just talking 🤣

“I didn’t know it was illegal to tell the truth about the scientific evidence in the case of Lucy Letby” 🤣🤣

“I actually told them, my mum worked for Turing during WWII to save Britain from racism”

wife: Poor Britain.

Re email with letters he received from Cheshire Police:

“I even replied to them which was a foolish thing to do because later I learned you should never, ever talk to the Police. Never ever”
