It’s not giving up. It’s perfectly OK to want to stop and to stop. Can I have a hand hold please? I've been breastfeeding mini Caledonian for 8wks as of today but I need to stop for my mental health as it's starting to really dip and today I was ready to walk out my front door and not come back home for a while. I want to have me back but slightly sad that I'm "giving" up but I know I need to put my mental health first
My DiL was very invested in breast feeding, it wasn’t working, I think because she’d had a previous breast reduction.
She was up all night ‘cluster’ feeding but at about 8 weeks my grandson was starting to lose weight.
It became a VERY touchy subject so I couldn’t say much (I think ‘MiL from hell’ would have been banished). I’m not really MiL from hell, I don’t think
Thankfully the HV finally got her finger out. It had to come from a professional.
DiL was very upset, but hell, it’s not worth it.
You’re doing the right thing.
