Can I have a hand hold please? I've been breastfeeding mini Caledonian for 8wks as of today but I need to stop for my mental health as it's starting to really dip and today I was ready to walk out my front door and not come back home for a while. I want to have me back but slightly sad that I'm "giving" up but I know I need to put my mental health first
It’s not giving up. It’s perfectly OK to want to stop and to stop.
My DiL was very invested in breast feeding, it wasn’t working, I think because she’d had a previous breast reduction.
She was up all night ‘cluster’ feeding but at about 8 weeks my grandson was starting to lose weight.
It became a VERY touchy subject so I couldn’t say much (I think ‘MiL from hell’ would have been banished). I’m not really MiL from hell, I don’t think 😬
Thankfully the HV finally got her finger out. It had to come from a professional.
DiL was very upset, but hell, it’s not worth it.
You’re doing the right thing.

If there’s no verdict by the end of this week I’m going to start worrying. These people must have lives to go and live.

Hopefully there's a nice cafetiere and some custard creams to get them through this mornings session, help them get back to where they were 😁
Did you lot cover favourite biscuits yet? Because custard creams are mine. And yeah, they’re the Matalan of the biscuit world, sue me. They’re lush.

I think you're right but hope we're wrong 🙂

Judge Goss gave them the end of July as a possible finish date, that must be in their (and their families) heads, so there's some pressure there.

There'll be a build up of frustration. (Possible Ill feeling/conflict amongst them)

And then of course, the magnitude and importance of this case.

You'd have to be very strong and focused to go in there and get back to business immediately. Hopefully there's a nice cafetiere and some custard creams to get them through this mornings session, help them get back to where they were 😁
At this stage am kinda inclined to get them all forcefed solely on amphetamines and Kendal Mint Cake to get a bloody move on 😬

IME breastfeeding is only really worth it if it doesn’t affect your mental health, it really isn’t important enough to make yourself unwell! Happy mum, happy baby! Easier said than done, we seem to be hardwired to feel guilty regardless of what we do but honestly sounds like you’ll be much happier switching over, and looking after your own mental health and happiness is also a priority, you don’t stop being important just because you’re a mum!
I have a friend who is a nutritionalist and she said BF is like having a chef making you bespoke meals to your health needs - and formula feeding is like just eating a good, healthy diet every day.

Also, my brother was BF and has really bad hay fever/ allergies and bad asthma - whereas I was FF (3rd child and mum cba by then) and I don’t have either 🤷🏼‍♀️ My 3yr old has a ridiculous constitution too and barely gets ill, though attends nursery 3 days a week and has since 1yr old (only had time off for chicken pox) - she’s like a toddler Ox - her dad has is never ill either, so think it’s more about what she’s inherited from him than what she had for breakfast when she was 8 weeks old!

I love custard creams but I love nice biscuits more. More pressing than favourite biscuit is a Jaffa cake a cake or a biscuit 🤣

love me a chocolate digestive. The caramel ones are top tier too.

Court needs to be on today 🤞🏻It’s not fair to drag this out any more.

I would have thought the favourite biscuit in here would be ginger nuts.

I'm here all day folks.

Custard cremes, dark choc digestives and malted milks are my top tier.

Garabaldi, fig rolls and fruit shortcake can get in the bin.

Bet letby loves a rich tea.

I have to confess - I don't really like biscuits that much. I don't buy them and I could happily never eat another biscuit again in my life.
