I’ve just realised I’m virtually inactive on these threads over the weekend but as soon as Monday morning hits and I’m supposed to be working, here I am

I hope to god we get court back on this morning. If it goes much longer I'm worried they may have grounds to request a retrial which would just be awful
I don't really do biscuits either and can't stand chocolate coated ones - I do enjoy a stem ginger cooker on occasion though but they need to be the posh ones! My husband can't live without chocolate digestives!

I just looked on a diff website and out of 17 court rooms that’s the only case named so hopefully the others just aren’t on there yet, as surely there wouldn’t be just one for the whole day?This is all that’s coming up…..

A Jaffa cake is a cake because you pay less tax on cake as it’s essential (!!!) whereas a biscuit is a luxury.I love custard creams but I love nice biscuits more. More pressing than favourite biscuit is a Jaffa cake a cake or a biscuit

Yes you're right, they went to court and the judge ruled in favour of McVities that Jaffa cakes are cakes not biscuits, therefore they're not subject to VAT...full of useless information me.

Jurors have not met for deliberations since the 14th July - at that point they had done just over four days equating to 20 hours. We expect the deliberations to resume today at 10.30am. results of the poll from the last thread Lots of tattle thread members having a tough time at the moment...
