I want to know if the photo she took of the two babies together was for the parents or for her own phone. Because one option is explainable and one is sickening .

I'd like to disagree.
Spontaneous DCDA (Unidentical twins) are the most common, and falling pregnant as you reach 40 increase your chances of falling pregnant with DCDA twins.
Just to add an alternative point of view.
These parents could very well be IVF recipents, some could carry the hyper ovulation gene, some could be considered geriatric mothers.
I'm 51 and naturally pregnant with my 2nd set of DCDA twins. 1st set I had last Yr at 50.

It’s been said a lot on this thread to those leaning guilty “hope you’re never on a jury” blah blah
Just saying that if anyone accused of my murder is found to have a note saying I did it I’m evil I killed her on purpose… I really hope everybody explaining it away aren’t on the jury 🤣 right back at you guys 🤣

I’m really interested to see if she has fertility issues or something. It would explain a lot. I mean, it wouldn’t make it any better but it would at least give a narrative that my tiny brain can follow.
No. please don’t. I have a large bunch of IVF friends after undergoing infertility myself for several years. It’s NO excuse.

ETA a kinder, more decent bunch of people you’d never wish to meet. NONE of us would take a baby from other parents who truly understands what it means to them.

IF you were to play devils advocate, you could say due to her mental stAte regarding being put on admin duties under suspicion and that the police had been involved and she was arrested, she might have been berating herself as responsible despite not having intentionally killed them.
i imagine the defence will focus on the notes protesting her innocence and asking questions as to how it’s ended up at that point. And that the statements of evil were made in a moment of. despair
Yes, I can see that happening… I’m one of those people who go into self loathing mode if something bad happens and could quite easier see myself writing something like that about me. Like, I remember when my daughter was a year old and she fell off the sofa and bumped her head. She was fine. But I’m sure messages I sent my friends would have read “this is my fault/I’m a bad mother/she deserves better” because that’s the kind of person I am. Not standing up for her in any way but it’s an attitude I understand.

If I was wrongly accused of something I am certain it would send me loopy. I might write crazy thoughts out and I’d be scared as shit. There are a few things I know I would NEVER write explicitly no matter how bad I was feeling
I DID IT
I KILLED THEM ON PURPOSE
I AM EVIL
I would like to know the timeline of when those were found and as to how much she knew she was being investigated for at the time. Even if you were worried you were going to be found out for being negligent those aren’t the words you’d write.
If you write I am innocent but it is a lie - your motive for doing so is to get you out of trouble
If you write I’m evil and I killed them on purpose as a lie- what is your motive for doing so?

I’m sorry but anyone who thinks this sick bitch is innocent needs to wobble there heads . What a disgusting human! Evil evil bitch. If I had gone into labour a week later that could of been one of my babies as our NICU shut and all babies were transferred to that hospital.
The thought of that makes me feel sick to my core

Nice to see the “you should all be ashamed of yourselves” posts have started early… 🥱

Day 4 of a six month trial. At least try to reserve judgement until the actual evidence and defence is heard. Or you know, you do you.

The final feed she gave Child O was after he died?? Am I reading that correctly? Surely her documentation is false.
I think that's what they are trying to highlight, that she's falsified documents at some point, so potentially at others too.

The defence will likely say that those notes were written by a nurse consumed with guilt over clinical negligence at work, not after committing multiple murders. But what a slam dunk by the prosecution. Chilling.

The only thing that’s really messing with my head, is what if she is actually guilty but that Ben is really good at casting doubt and she gets away with it 😭
You are not meant to find someone guilty if there is reasonable doubt. If he DOES cast doubt then that means the prosecution haven't done their job properly of proving she did it beyond a reasonable doubt.

I think with the bombshell thing people got their wires crossed a bit. The original poster said there would be a bombshell that the public don’t know about, which is what those notes are - but some people took it as a bombshell that the defence don’t know about - which obviously wouldn’t happen as they are briefed with all the evidence before hand.

Those is nursing/medical experience - how common is Air Embolism which seems to be given as one of the more common causes of death? Is it something that’s easy to do accidentally?
Incredibly ridiculously rare especially within neonates/paediatrics. I asked a consultant and they said they’d never seen on in their 40years

Sorry but such observations are pretty pointless at this stage - there is going to be 6 months of evidence, including medical evidence. What concrete proof (at this stage) would change your ‘gut feeling’?
Don’t think it’s fair to belittle & call someone’s observations pointless. We’re all here to chat & have opinions

This whole case is horrific. Who in their right mind would want to kill babies? I can't imagine going through an entire pregnancy, looking forward to completing a family and watching a little human grow, only for it to be tragically cut short.
I always regarded midwives and nurses and doctors who work in that department to be absolute angels; I say this as the level of care I received when I had my problematic pregnancy (early eclampsia, my body didn't like being pregnant) was just amazing and everyone was so kind and lovely.
The idea of a killer - a demon within that little area sends a shiver down my spine.
My thoughts are with the family.

I think Lucy has mental health issues which perhaps made her behaviours a bit odd and this is why she is being blamed. The babies may have died anyway as they were all premature and needing special care. Do we know for sure that someone murdered them? Lucy does seem obsessive and sometimes - when people are mentally ill - they blame themselves for adverse events and this may explain the notes.
Not to jump on you. But the above phrase can be quite hurtful to those of us who have experienced prematurity (**and indeed NICU with a full term baby) and the fear that runs along side it.
It's not just premature babies who require special care, some babies born at 40 weeks can have a far worse time than someone born at 26 weeks, and ultimately pass away in special care.
Science has advanced in such a way, that there are many children born at 22 weeks who live to tell the tale.
But to use prematurity as an excuse for their passing, instead hospital failings& gross medical error, and or murder by Lucy or someone else is another thing.
Again this isn't jumping on you. Just asking in future to be mindful of how you word such sentences, it's such a sensitive topic on the whole.**Edited to make sense as I'm not good at getting my thoughts across and I'm still full of the flu😂

Often bi polar lays dormant in a person until something traumatic happens to them and essentially brings it out. Could the trauma of being accused brought out bi polar in Lucy and the note is just that? The ramblings of someone with bi polar on a high. Its scary how much that note reminded me of the person I know with bi polar.
This is so insulting to anyone with bipolar disorder not to mention totally inaccurate... The ramblings of a manic are incoherent, grandiose, often psychotic with random ideas, loose connections, spiritual intonations. Her note is clearly her very distressed and panicking - that is not the same as mentally ill and nothing like manic.
