I feel like i’m missing out what the hells bounty
They are a company which give out packs full of samples to pregnant mothers. Which I didn’t mind. It’s nothing amazing, but I found some of the little samples ideal for my hospital bag. There are a lot of leaflets which are obviously aimed at getting you to buy things, but I don’t think that’s much of a problem itself, however, one problem with this has been bereaved mothers struggling to get their details removed from mailing lists.
The problem starts with the fact that for some reason, this company are then allowed to employ staff, who’s job it is to go around the maternity wards offering “professional” photos (they have a camera) of your baby which they then want you to buy. Now, before the days of camera phones, i think there was a place for this kind of thing. But today it is pretty much redundant. Even in 2009 I was able to take much better photos myself and the quality holds up today.
The employees are (or were last time I had a baby in 2013) also dressed similarly to nursing staff, which is manipulative and gives the impression of them being something to do with the hospital/authority when actually, they’re simply salespeople who’ve for some reason been allowed free access to vulnerable mothers in order to push their bullshit and as described here they can be very pushy and rude.
