I've always believed her to be guilty too. A lot of the medical/clinical questioning in court can lose me but fortunately there are a lot of Tattlers who are clinically trained and explain things which is brilliant for me and gives me a better understanding. I hope there is someone on that jury who has training and can help the other jurors to have a good understanding and I hope they are a very sensible group of people. However before I'd even heard about Tattle I still thought she was guilty. Being at every incident 22 times and nobody else there more than 7 times and many less than 7 was the first indicator of guilt for me and the expert witnesses concluding harm was done was the next indicator. Masses more things have come out during the trial which has strengthened my belief in her guilt, however I do feel a bit anxious that she might be found NG. It's all down to those 12 individuals. My hubby has done jury service 3 times and on one he was foreman of the jury. None of the cases were anywhere near as serious as this one but he was astounded that some of the jury were reluctant to find one man guilty who was clearly guilty as they didn't like sending him to prison. Fortunately they did find him guilty and my hubby said the legal people were very glad about the jury's decision as it later emerged he'd done a lot of bad things previously which the jury didn't know about at the time. Hubby said the trial he was at could have gone either way even though the man was, as he put it, "guilty as sin". I don't think I will be able to feel totally comfortable about this trial until a guilty verdict is announced even though almost all Tattlers believe her to be guilty and more and more on Reddit as well. I can only imagine how nerve wracking all this must be for the parents and all the staff she previously worked with and for their sake I hope the guilty verdict comes and life in prison.

Read back the statements for baby E. It’s quite clear the two calls dad received are 1) at 9.11 mum being worried about blood round babies mouth and dad saying it’s fine don’t worry and 2) a second call that’s timed nearly at 11pm which was a mixture of his wife and the midwife saying “get here right away”
There’s also the very niggling issue that Letby says she called the senior health officer to report bleeding but he can’t remember any call and says he would have acted on it and put it in his notes. There’s also the fact that Dr Harkness was around at the time so she could have raised anything with him but didn’t.
It’s not a simple case of mum getting in a muddle. Whole conversations and interactions had to have never happened the way both parents remember it and how all the timings line up to show prosecution are right in what they think happened and why.
I’ve also thought that the way mum describes the blood pattern around baby E’s mouth is what baby would get if they had been bleeding and then had a breathing support mask put on. She did something horrible to that baby I’m sure of it.

Having had a couple of chest drains myself for pneumothorax (one of which was removed with no pain relief) the thought of her moving them or pulling at them is sickening.

It's interesting the references to her falling out with people...Nice Lucy wasn't perhaps as popular and nice as she thought people thought about her. I expect some of the doctors who only worked with her in short burst

The second night shift where Child H collapsed
The court is shown a series of messages Letby sent to colleagues the following day, during her second night shift with Child H - a baby girl she is accused of attempting to murder.
The prosecution claims Letby sabotaged Child H again on this night shift. She was not her designated nurse.
Letby has previously claimed she did not have much to do with Child H on this shift.
The first one read '[Child H] had good day' before going on to mention the infant's drain being taken out.
A second message reads: 'She's had a stable day. Took original drain out at 8, just blocked tube, loads of secretions!'
Letby denies staffing levels contributed to Child H's collapse. She is then asked if medical incompetence played a part.
"I can't comment because I wasn't the nurse looking after her that night," she says.
Mr Johnson, prosecution barrister, says this is "another shift where you wanted to be in nursery one".
(The prosecution has repeatedly claimed Letby wanted to be in the higher dependency rooms and felt slighted when she was required to look after babies in lower rooms).

'At least I'm still involved': Letby's texts to colleague
A doctor has previously said that during the night shift of 26 September, he saw Letby alone and caring for Child H. The infant would collapse a few hours later and require ambulance transport to another hospital.
Letby has previously claimed she had little to do with the infant during this night shift, as she was caring for other babies in a different room.
The court is then shown a text Letby sent during the shift.
The text reads: 'I've been helping [colleague] so least still involved but haven't got the responsibility.'
"Anything that went wrong wasn't going to come back on you, was it?" Nick Johnson says.

I must say, when prosecution first presented all their evidence, I found it hard to follow and link which bits they were alleging she had falsified and it didn't always seem that clear in the timeline, or what she had acrually done (or not done). Now she is on the stand and answering questions, it's much clearer exactly what documentation falsification they were referring to. Makes the case stronger and also makes me think they might have struggled to get the jury on board with falsification if she hadn't taken the stand.

Very interesting take on it all... I've sat and read the court reporting before and wouldn't be surprised if we got a grand dramatic confession, so wanting to drag this out then confess in her own way...
