So NJ has just proven that LL got the timings for E wrong and mum of E was right about it being a 9pm feed rather than 10pm.

Because she’s misdocumented the timings here for H’s blood transfusion as an hour later than they really happened - just like E’s mum said she did. And she made the mistake in 2 different locations.

But it’s all just an innocent coincidence eh?

Again, coming back to probability… what are the chances a competent nurse makes two documentation errors so close together that just happen to coincide with the death and collapse of two separate babies she’s accused of murdering? I wish I was mathematically minded to work out how ridiculously fucking improbable this is.

The jury only need to have reasonable doubt to find her not guilty so is that why she's naming and shaming every single staff member?

In all seriousness though, imagine having to come to terms with the fact you were actually friends with LL in first place, and hadn’t noticed what she was doing, and now being thrown under the bus by her too on top of that. It would be really hard to come to terms with I think, I’d struggle

I must be a right thicko because when I read the court reports I can't see Nick catching her out (except where it's really obvious, like the bin bags - in her garage (swoon!) so I have to come here for the analysis where you clever people spell it out! But then it concerns me that the jury don't have this and they have to process much more info than we do!

Never fear, Big Nick will point all of the little lies and slip ups out to the jury in closing statement.

So are we thinking those tears were the realisation that if she wasn't fucked before, she almost certainly is now or is she just hoping sympathy vote from jury and the old poor innocent nice Lucy routine again.

She's going to have yet another long weekend stewing on that and we still aren't even half way through the cases. I have to say BNE isn't missing a trick is he.

Her Freudian slip there with using 'for' and quickly correcting to 'at' was so telling. If she hadn't corrected herself, she could have ironically looked more innocent by saying she meant she was more experienced and as baby looked pale fro where she was standing, she might be more able to look for something which might indicate something was wrong compared to her inexperienced colleague. But by self-correcting, it shows to me that she realised her choice of word was a bad and incriminating one.

Yeah she would have been better to leave it at 'for' let him ask what she meant and just say she didn't mean it like that, feign ignorance. But she knew what she said.

Yeah, no, she wasn't particularly experienced at all, she only qualified to do IV lines a few weeks before babies A-D. Surely confusion or accident would have been a good defense for the babies that died of air embolus so soon after her training.

She would actually have had a half-decent defense if she tried to claim some level of incompetence for some of the details, but her ego just can't let her look anything less than perfect. Like everyone else "may" have made a mistake, but not her. The only mistakes she will admit are record keeping errors, and that's because she's being accused of cooking the books.

I really feel if Big NJ went down this route of questioning with her we’d see the true her in a flash! I hope he puts to her that if O&P died of ‘gulping air’ as her defence states.. then as their designated nurse that was proven on both days of their deaths to be texting constantly - that actually she is the one that should have seen their decline, that she is an utterly terrible and negligent nurse. Not a person that prided herself at excelling at her cOmpeTenCieS but actually a fucking shit nurse, shittier than ‘the new girl’ shittier than Mel T, shittier than all the lovely young women she was acutely jealous of and who will go on to have everything she will never have in life

He is a dream baby he is very content. I have been absolutely knackered and had to go to hospital to get checked as feeding him and lack of sleep and everyone descending to visit had taken it out of me. No visitors are allowed in for a wee bit so I can get some time to get myself sorted

What I don’t get is, if she is such a special, intuitive, high achieving, hardworking, well-loved, dedicated nurse why was she wasting her “talent” at sleepy little coch? Surely she would’ve been headhunted by LWH after she excelled on her training course there? All sarcasm aside, surely someone young-ish and career focused who loved ITU would’ve sought work at the tertiary unit? I’m speculating of course but I think LWH had the mark of her and didn’t want her, also easier to stay and do harm under the radar on a struggling unit. Others have speculated on the timescale that maybe she took longer to complete the advanced training? I know from experience that nursing mentors will not pass students that they feel uncomfortable around and will insist on further evidence they have addressed shortcomings before they can be “signed off”. She looks down on all of her colleagues and it is becoming more apparent that she was not well liked. I think the scapegoat angle is a convenient way for her to tie it all together. I wonder if we will hear any details of the grievance she raised? Also, if she presented herself as superior and confrontational then less experienced or less assertive members of staff probably found it harder to challenge her on her (for want of a better word) weirdness.

Think it is becoming pretty obvious that she did not have good relationship with some colleagues or parents and was not well liked by all. Be interesting to cross reference her note with all the names on and the love hearts, the people she said were important to her, and see which ones have gone under the double decker.

Why do you have to concentrate on dates Lucy? Surely, whether you can see into the Nursery - that you worked at for years - is not date reliant?

Bit of a mind dump here but what was LL doing between arrests & being charged? Was she still working? The arrogance she has to raise complaint against the hospital for moving her… she really thought she’d gotten away with it…

How do we stop health care killers in future? To think there’s probably other LLs about right now… I’m all for CCTV. I know patients need privacy & dignity but not sure how else we can stop these murderers…

I remember when 1st arrested I was so intrigued. Photo of her house on news showed a bird box by front door & I remember thinking who kills babies but cares enough about little birds having a safe nest? Not realising she moved homes maybe it was from previous owners…

I was 3 months pregnant when trial started and now my baby is 3 months old. I’ve cried at lot more since having them, maybe hormones but cradling baby whilst listening in just makes me feel more intensely for the poor parents

The colleagues also must really be shaken. Can’t imagine having a murderous colleague. We as nurses don’t get any training on how to spot & stop deliberate harm from professionals. From family members yes, so so much safeguarding. So much child protection. But never ever is harm from professionals even thought of. Perhaps this will change following this verdict? But how? Child nursing has so many checks and balances, 2 people per prescription etc. but clearly it just isn’t enough…
