I think it’s actually a formality with the courts, with the judge having to adjourn it, which is bloody annoying for absolutely everyone !!

I see we had a runaway juror today, so pleased Judge Goss is getting annoyed now and will sort out the rogue juror, it’s so not fair in the families and the rest of the jurors---

Something else I've thought, hopefully the trial will not collapse and a new trial be needed but if there was then I assume it would be the same prosecution and defence team. However could Letby think giving evidence was tying her in knots this time and in a retrial decide not to take the stand and be asked uncomfortable and revealing questions to give her a better chance of a NG verdict.Oh lads. Been away for a long weekend, thought I was missing live reporting but knew I could catch up on our 4h drive home… the disappointment when I saw we were still on the same thread
My first thought was maybe a juror had a family emergency, such as the death of a parent, and maybe they needed to make a decision to continue or not continue, but I do think it’s more likely that it’s just the same juror twatting about with “sickness” or some other excuse like childcare problems but whatever it is, judgey sounded pissed and it needs sorting out as these delays are ridiculous. The trial needs wrapping up. Can tattle just deliver the verdict
On another note. In these trials is there anyone in court that actually keeps a record of everything that is said. Everything that is asked and answered? I was just thinking about if there was ever a retrial due to jury issues. Surely it would be beneficial to have the hearing filmed and a new jury could watch what has already happened to save everyone repeating themselves

Ah, ok. I’d be fuming if I was missing work, getting myself ready, travelling etc all to be told to go home again. I can’t imagine the number of people that are involved in this case; the victims families, court staff, journalists, staff entertaining LL, witnesses, other jury members etc that are all inconvenienced. You’d be accepting of the occasional disruption to the case but this is happening regularly.

my lady innards only function to annoy the living days lights out of me these days. I really hope it's genuine reasons for the juror being off. It's such an important trial and these families deserve a conclusion, I don't think anyone who's been sitting there for all this could put them through it for longer than needed.

There is not enough support out there, there's not enough safe spaces to vent or cry or celebrate. It's always nice to know we're not alone
I was actually thinking of going today-bloody good job I didn't! What a waste of 2 hours and train fare that'd be. Did suspect something like this would happen again. Thinking Friday now but don't know how serious I actually am about going although I want to.
