I’ll suspend reality and take at face value that Forgetby didn’t mention the sewage in any of her texts with colleagues when discussing the sudden deaths and collapses of babies, and neither they nor she even mooted the idea of overflowing sewage being a reason for these unexpected, unexplained events.

However, during multiple police interviews, interviews with her defence barrister and not mentioning it even in passing is ridiculous. Myers would have instructed plumbers as experts to corroborate her story, asked her colleagues on the stand about the sewage, he would have found umpteen Datix’s from concerned staff members, even asked the parents of the victims. No, instead he has been blindsided by her mentioning it today for the first time. Bother Myers and Nick will now be digging for evidence to prove her correct, or a liar depending on the outcome of their investigations.

Today was a car crash for Forgetby, and she has loaded the bullets in the gun for Nick to fire at her. Forgetby has nailed the final nail in her coffin. Why would you be texting instead of caring for the babies if you really didn’t know which babies would die and how in advance of it happening.

She’s had YEARS to inform her defence team about the sewage, and poor Forgetby didn’t recall what an issue it was until today, on the stand.

Myers, you’ve got your work cut out.

Thanks for that nosycow (ha feel a bit weird writing that like I'm being rude or something 🤣).

I wondered if she would start to come across as more snappy as the questions went on because BNE is firing her inconsistencies back at her at such a rapid rate that she barely has time to register that she's been caught out in a lie again before he comes back with something else.

kind of a half truth here. Yes the doctors could have acted sooner - except it was her who left it as long as she could.

IF you were innocent you just wouldn't lie, you wouldn't throw your colleagues so easily under the bus, you wouldn't add new information (shitty sink and blood in nappy) and you wouldn't be a complete arse in the stand.

How has she not broke down in tears today? At the discussions about these precious babies 🩵
I'd be sobbing on the stand day in, day out, pleading my innocence, not acting a complete arrogant prick. But that's just me.

Ok there’s something that’s been bugging me all day since LL mentioned the whole raw sewage thing. It rang a bell about Bowel Movement (more appropriate than ever that name🤣) asking in cross something about old pipes at the hospital and wondering at the time why on earth he was asking about that. Anyway it’s taken me literally hours to find, but I now know why LL has suddenly come out with that today. Although the point still absolutely stands that there’s no way that caused what has happened, or that if defs was in room 1 at the time of E. I’m guessing they brought it up with E specifically as there’s no postmortem, and so they were trying to push the NEC narrative or bowel infection from germs etc, though that’s pretty much been blown out of the water now from all the rest of the evidence we’ve heard, and all of LL’s contradictions today showing the fact the bleed and air were what actually killed E. But anyway here is what I found dated way back in November:

The fact that she just straight up and sat in silence and refused to acknowledge NJ's question at one point is such a big OOF! Obviously I wasn't there but I can't imagine that would look or sound great to a juror.

I’ve had to remove myself from the FB group. I just can’t with them trying to justify her selective memory being a result of her PTSD. Oh poor Lucy, my heart bleeds. 🙄 🎻

She only remembers what suits her. Of course trying to say that over there is like pissing into the wind.
I’ve rejoined recently (I joined at the start but left due to it just being arguments based on personal projections). And this is annoying me too. I am diagnosed with PTSD and dissociative amnesia, and I take sedatives and anti psychotics. Despite the amnesia causing me to lose hours and hours of memory where I don’t know what I’ve done or where I’ve been. I have never contradicted myself like LL does.

Niether have I ever behaved how she did at work, behaviour which, as a parent who’s baby was in neonatal care, had I been aware of even a couple of examples of (obviously her victims parents weren’t aware of her extensive strange behaviour) would have alarmed me to the extent that myself or my child’s father would be sat next to his incubator at all times until a transfer to a different hospital could be arranged. And she wasn’t even suffering/diagnosed/medicated then so it certainly can’t explain that.

Just to pick out a bit of MmmB777's post - the consultant saying they'd never seen mottling like that, but Letby saying it was normal - i mean that's just laughable. Her view of herself is so inflated if she thinks she's better than a consultant, who has been to medical school, chosen neonatology as their specialty, has years of experience and has most likely published research etc. I am incredulous.

Oh I thought bile was stomach acid, but it’s from the bowels? Ok it makes sense. So if she is saying it was bile aspirated at 9pm she would have had to act as quickly as if it was bleeding, and we know she didn’t act until 10pm.
Bile comes up from the gallbladder, so if you've got a blockage it backs up. It's green, rather than yellow.

She'll have said it trying to push NEC, but like you say she's now stuck - NEC babies are unwell and she's just admitted he was doing well, plus in her timeline she's left him for an hour plus until he started bleeding.

I worked on AICU (adult intensive care) in a non clinical role a few years ago. I can’t remember specifics but there was a problem with the sinks in two of the patient rooms and they were unavailable to use until the sinks were fixed. I doubt that they would be using the unit if there was shit coming out the sinks ffs 🤦‍♀️
Unfortunately the staff told me that this was a problem in the Breast Screening Unit at our local hospital. Shit was bubbling up through the plug holes in a couple of sinks. They closed the rooms where this had happened until it was fixed.

Thing is the sewage issue would cause bacterial or viral infections, not air embolus, overdose of insulin, or sudden haemorrhage. She is literally throwing shit hoping that some will stick...

Ok
If the jury were to believe BM talking about reasonable doubt and not convict her then this would indicate snowflakes with no backbone and hopefully this won't be the case as the evidence seems so overwhelming and her lies are being proven to the court over and over.

Nobody knows their babies like the parents do. Except baby E’s mum who doesn’t understand the difference between ‘screaming’ and ‘a bit unsettled’

She’s making me so bloody angry, her attitude towards the parents is disgusting whether you think she’s innocent or not!!

@nosycowmoo please can you listen to the podcast and tell us if it’s anything like the real BNE. He’s sounding far more ‘assertive’ than you described. I think @yellowmellow might be in trouble when she hears him…. 🤣🤣
He says quite assertive things, but in a lovely tone and demeanour. It’s hard to describe but if you were day dreaming you’d hear a well to do softly spoken man, yet when you listen to what he actually says you can be a bit like 😮 ooh he went in…

She's caught in a lie almost immediately. She's datixed the death (standard practice for an unexpected death) but she's not included anything about raw sewage on the floor, which you definitely would if you were concerned?
As a Datix reader and trainer this gives me the rage. Actual harm "none" on a death report. FFS.
