Wasn't she looking these parents up on anniversaries and Christmas day? Surely she was looking for posts about the child's death at these significant times, looking to see if they were being missed "publicly", getting some kind of kick out of it. It wasn't random nosiness.

What I don’t get is that multiple babies have passed away under her care, multiple have become suddenly seriously unwell, but she needed a sick or dying baby to “overcome it”
Yet the one thing in all of this that’s caused her to be on antidepressants and have PTSD is….being arrested. Stupid little narcissist

After hearing the evidence presented so far, I think she’s murdered those babies so therefore yeah, her character is shitty & it’s got nothing to do with her wallpaper

I’m actually continuously going over the evidence and analysing all of the information we have as a total cover for literally only needing this picture to think she’s guilty. Nothing else.

I don’t think changing methods is a good way to avoid detection. I mean from air to insulin to trauma as a murder method as a means of not getting caught is a ludicrous decision and just can’t be the case imo. I really don’t think she has the level of intelligence needed to commit these crimes, she’s too weird and impulsive to not slip up somewhere, I also would have expected some internet search history to be relevant. If she’s dumb enough to kill babies and search for their parents on Facebook she’s not above some sort of incriminating internet search,

I just feel like the prosecution kind of want it both ways a little bit. In one breath she’s so calculated and cunning she’s changing methods, forging notes and all that. but in another she’s also stupid enough to triple the death rate of the ward, in the first month she causes a years worth of deaths all whilst she’s on shift? It just seems ridiculous to me. They also want to say she attacked sick babies to avoid detection and exploited their individual health issues but then there are “perfectly healthy” babies that die in the case too, so it just seems a little bit like they’re making it fit whenever it suits them

with all the other cases you’ve mentioned I’m not familiar with them all but as a general rule I’d say serial murder trials must produce some of the most compelling evidence, most serial murder trials are pretty cut and dry. When the evidence starts it becomes undeniably obvious that they’ve done whatever is alleged. I personally don’t know of any serial killer trials that get this deep and they’re still a fair argument for both sides, like I’ve said ultimately Id need a little bit more before I locked someone up for life

what would you expect to see on an internet search if she was guilty?

IMO she didn’t need to internet search as she had tons of training and assessments behind her! Some as fresh as spring 2015.

To be honest it sounds like you want to ignore medical evidence because it doesn’t fit a pattern you believe should occur. Nobody knows, including prosecution, what her intentions might have been for having different methods. Maybe she was trying to cover up. Maybe she got bored. Maybe she was experimenting to see different outcomes. Maybe it was based on opportunity depending what was available to her at the time. Who knows! But trying to decide guilt based on a pre conceived idea on what her methodology should be if she was guilty feels a bit absurd tbh.

What is your belief that a serial killer wouldn’t change methods based on?

If she was worrying all the way back in 2016 she knows she murdered those poor babies there's no other reason she would worry about police involvement other than she's guilty as sin. Besides why would an innocent person worry if they had done no wrong as it would be shown said innocent person had done no wrong.

Why were those parents on your mind quite so much then Lucy - like parents of E&F?

She did social media searches on the parents two days after Child E’s death (Aug 6), and on August 23, September 14, October 5, November 5, December 7, and even on December 25. The prosecution say there were further searches in January 2016.

At 11.26pm on Xmas day, really?

Also noticed something that didn't add up. In her police interview for E&F she thought she may have searched for them as she wanted to know how baby F was doing. [In November 2020, she was asked why she had searched for the parents of Child E and F. She said she thought it might be to see how Child F was doing.]

But for the first search on Aug 6, the parents and baby F were still in the unit (they left on Aug 10) - so why did she need to search for them or to see how baby was doing, they were right there with her...

Wow. Well spotted. Baby F was still in hospital when she was stalking his parents on FB to supposedly check on how he’s doing!

Also, BM trying to argue these FB searches were random. But let’s look at those dates:

3 August - Baby E (Baby F’s twin) is attacked
4 August - Baby E dies
5 August - Baby F is attacked
23 August - LL searches FB for parents of E&F on this day & all the days below
14 September - 1 month & 10 days after Baby E died
5 October - 2 months after Baby E died & F was attached
5 November - 3 months after Baby E died & F was attached
7 December - 4 months after Baby E died & F was attached
25 December - Xmas Day

So she searches for the parents monthly, almost to the day she killed one of their baby twins & attacked the other, for 4 months in a row, and then again on Xmas day, and this is supposed to be an innocent random search?

I think she’s guilty. She seems to be a very jealous and vengeful person, reading her rambling notes about never having a family - I wonder if watching mums and dads United in their love for their babies was too much for her.

Long time lurker here, been reading along with all 28 of the threads but never posted.

I am in the guilty camp and really liked the pencil theory mentioned a while back, I’m hopeful the jury will be looking at the bigger picture. There’s just too many coincidences for it not to be Lucy and I think the prosecution have done a fantastic job bringing all the different threads/evidence together.

I have to admit BM is doing his job well, reading Lucy’s responses I did feel a bit sorry for her ( I know 🫣) and struggled to match up a serial baby killer to how she came across. Although I’m not sure what a baby killer would come across like?! But I then go back to all the evidence we’ve heard and there’s just too many coincidences. I just hope those poor babies’ families get the justice the answers they deserve after all of this.

Anyway that’s a penny for my thoughts. I’ve enjoyed hearing other people’s and reading the wiki @Tofino - fantastic work! And @DellaC your posts always make me laugh!

The thing that really unsettles me is its all me me me I was sad because of being arrested because of being moved to admin. Where is the shock.sadness and disgust at the thought of someone harming them for these poor babies. There seems to be zero consideration from her

I’m probably going to regret saying this but I genuinely don’t think she’s guilty. I think my mind is telling me that what she’s accused of can’t of been done by her because it seems too cruel. I’ve been a silent follower from the beginning but I just can’t wrap my head around it.

Lots of people said the same about Harold Shipman. One man who defended him later found out he'd murdered not one but both his parents.

im wondering how many searches is TOO many searches sometimes I can go on FB and be there for hours and actually forget what I went on for. But yes could tell you the names of all the kids and husband of the bitches who were mean to me in school

It’s all too rehearsed, too scripted. None of it feel genuine, the language she’s using.

Agree completely.

The performance of her life.

But already inconsistencies and lies, the jury will pick up on that as we have.

There'll be so much wth her body language, the way she says things, the way she infantalises herself (have I made that word up?). We just get the black and white pages, the jury get all the colours too.

It's everything I thought it would be.
