The relief to get her home has been unreal, when your in it it's hard to comprehend the stress of it all, it's only when it's over and all is well you realise you can breath again!

Lucy only became qualified to look after intensive care babies in March/April 2015.

There’s the trigger.

So let's play devils advocate and say she is innocent, this surely shows at the bare minimum that she is incompetent. Only just qualified to take those babies at that level and she is invovled in every case that is an unexpected death or near miss.

The incompetence being due to newly qualified in intensive care doesn't hold water. If she wasn't deemed competent to practise she wouldn't have passed the course or been allowed to practise free of supervision. And then of course the fact baby deaths escalated when she started would or should have run very loud alarm bells given that she was always involved. I believe she was indeed competent in that she knew how to care for those babies, but she took great pleasure in ending their lives. She wasn't incompetent just pure evil

If you get away with murder for the best part of a year, you have to apply a decent level of logic to what you do surely. As humans we’re all hard wired to protect ourselves, I think that applies to serial killers aswell who are often the most narcissistic of us all, so she might not apply “normal” logic but I’d expect her to have a survival instinct, after all she’s not crazy enough to kill people in front of others. She clearly doesn’t want to get caught. And she’d have to apply some sort of logic to her decisions to help avoid getting caught surely

She got away with it for the best part of a whole year because senior hospital staff failed to listen to the concerns of the consultants as early as June/July 2015.

If it’s easy to believe the babies died because the hospital was shit, why is it hard to believe she got away with it for so long because the hospital was shit?

Wow. Well spotted. Baby F was still in hospital when she was stalking his parents on FB to supposedly check on how he’s doing!

Also, BM trying to argue these FB searches were random. But let’s look at those dates:

3 August - Baby E (Baby F’s twin) is attacked
4 August - Baby E dies
5 August - Baby F is attacked
23 August - LL searches FB for parents of E&F on this day & all the days below
14 September - 1 month & 10 days after Baby E died
5 October - 2 months after Baby E died & F was attached
5 November - 3 months after Baby E died & F was attached
7 December - 4 months after Baby E died & F was attached
25 December - Xmas Day

So she searches for the parents monthly, almost to the day she killed one of their baby twins & attacked the other, for 4 months in a row, and then again on Xmas day, and this is supposed to be an innocent random search?

Right. So please PLEASE can we stop trying to normalise these searches and relate them to anything we do? Having a nosey on FB and falling down a rabbit hole, accidentally liking your exes pic or stalking the fella from Tesco cos you wanna ravish him is absolutely not the same as what Letby did.

There wouldn’t be a trial if she had plead guilty. Just sentencing with a summary of what happened at the sentencing.

At the end of the day, this is Tattle, not play group.

Not everyone’s opinion deserves the same weight. We’ve got people in here who are on the fence but can explain why. They read the evidence but they’ve said all along they’re waiting for the defences explanation of it to weigh it up. Fair enough!

But if you come in saying you don’t think there’s been any foul play (which even the defence admits has happened for the insulin babies, they just say it’s not LL) and that she’s innocent because she has fucking teddies, you’re going to get laughed at.

Some of the most physically beautiful people are absolute bastards from hell, I know a few. Not that I’m saying LL or TB are/were beautiful (not by my standards at least).

I’ve said it before but imo if she looked like Fred West, absolutely nobody would be analysing the words “I killed them on purpose because I’m evil” from an innocent perspective.

For the last few threads we’ve had pretty much above 75% guilty votes, but looking at the poll on this thread it seems that more people are starting to believe she’s innocent / moving back to unsure.
I think it’s interesting because I didn’t hear anything from her yesterday which made me think she was innocent, if anything it made me think she was more guilty. At the end of the day, the only opinion that actually matters is the jury’s, but given how 50/50 public opinion still appears to be, I wonder if there are similar differences of opinion regarding her guilt within the jury too.

I think the big difference in this threads results compared to previous is just that there was A LOT of press attention yesterday so (as seen on the thread) a lot of people who dip in and out or stopped following the trial have popped up again and voted without maybe fully reading and understanding the evidence presented so far. I’m not saying this applies to our regular posters who sit on the fence or have had doubts, I know they’ve followed along just as closely and shared their thoughts for the past 6 months. But I think a lot of people are suddenly becoming aware or being drawn back in with the coverage the trial is getting now and probably haven’t caught up on 6 months worth of evidence which is skewing the results.

I think it's weird that someone is supposedly at work in a very busy unit facebook searching babies families, colleagues, other people etc when she herself said it's busy and understaffed. Who does that at work? Privacy of own home maybe but quite literally facebooking random people because you have a fleeting acquaintance with them is just so odd to me, and says more about her strange character than anything else does.

If understaffing and poor management in hospitals caused all of these deaths we’d have seen them up and down the country… the NHS is on its knees so understaffing and shite hospital management just doesn’t wash as a reasonable explanation for what’s happened.

It blows my mind as a ward manager that seniors raised concerns about her on multiple occasions but she was simply moved to admin rather than being suspended!

A nurse once alleged someone on my ward didn’t change a patients position when she said she did and they was frog marched off the unit, and suspended immediately whilst the issue was investigated!
