crappy work today innit. I have booked myself an 'admin' day though to keep up to date. Thinking about a tactical sick day in a few weeks so I can go back and get my court fix.

Also makes you wonder what she would have done if she was still on the ward when it got downgraded to level 1 and it got even more ‘boring’ (as she put it) …. Doesn’t bear thinking about.
I too wondered why she didn’t just try for a move to Alder Hey or Liverpool given how she wanted more interesting cases. She was young with no commitments, perfect time to take on a busier job. Probably cause in a big hospital she’d be fairly invisible and wouldn’t get as much attention - doubt she’d get this kinda time to be texting.
If she does take the stand we could still be here next year.
We are driving up to Leeds on Fri morning and wondering how to tell my partner it makes perfect sense to go via Manchester Crown Court….
My family member told me they were at Chester Court soon and I nearly had a heart attack with excitement until I realised my mistake

There's a satellite court somewhere here for some of the parents who weren't able to go to Manchester every day and I think that's where Mark does his reporting from too, when he can be arsed showing up. But no public allowed for obvious privacy reasons.
I'm happy to take a stroll about the swastika garden and report back to let you know if it's made me unconsciously racist towards blonde nurses and thus accuse them of murders they didn't commit

I find her morbid obsession with taking photos of dead babies, preparing memory boxes for the parents, keeping photos of sympathy card on her phone, doing FB searches on them moths/years later, so macabre. Definitely gives off "serial killer" vibes.

Wow! I hadn't connected that to the post-it note. Thank you. I'd always wondered why she'd added "because on not good enough" after "I did it on purpose" -- it just made no sense when she admits that she did it on "purpose". But now that you mention it, it makes perfect sense: she believed that they thought she wasn't good enough, so she killed the babies to get them to text her and say "Oh Lucy, you're such an excellent nurse. You did everything you can. You're amazing and no one could've done better, but it was fate and there was nothing more anyone could do." Dr NN even went as far as saying she's the best nurse (in the region/county?), though his motives are suspect as it's clear from his texts that he's desperate to get into her pants (apologies for sounding so crude about it).
