I knew K was going to be one she didn’t have. You’ve cracked it. If they were random it would be less suspicious but the first ones, interesting!
The defence will def have experts that say the air is from after death/cpr. The prosecution pathologist said he can’t be sure but in baby A (who has lots of air and therefore dies very quickly) he is almost certain the air got there before death - would have been interesting to hear his reasoning but I believe him. Then of course the jury have to wonder if it’s coincidence that the babies with symptoms of air embolism before they die (the rashes are described by Letby as well as countless colleagues) just also happen to have more air in them than Dr Owen Arthur’s has seen in a baby that’s not been in a car crash etc. And of course where they have awful symptoms of vomiting (excess to what they should be fed) that there’s also huge amounts in their stomachs and that’s just coincidence with Letby having just fed them.
I think the main ‘she wasn’t there’ one will be the insulin cases but it’s almost more suspicious to me that each time it’s done just before she leaves. I really don’t believe he’ll have his own expert regarding the insulin anyway. Maybe one that’ll say the blood was kept at wrong temp as he went on about that but honestly it’s pathetic when the hypo is clearly recorded.
There are even a couple of babies, C I’m sure, where he says that the defence accept air embolism as a theory just that it’s not Letby

. That’s one I’d opt for when I was a little girl at primary school, maybe at a push secondary seeing as I was a little nerdy and so not cool. Not a 25 yr old come on. Teddies (plural) on her bed. I have kept some teddies sure, but they’re not on my bed (sorry teddies). That’s just me though - wait for loads on here saying they have a few teddies kipping on their double beds now. Though really, I’m puzzled why the podcast (as short as these episodes are) even mentions the teddies on/in her bed though. Why. Did she buy teddies that she had seen those babies have? Yeah I’m speculating. Or is there a bombshell to be dropped that a teddy went missing from one of the baby’s cot? 
Why are we shown a pic of her bedroom when none of the crimes occurred in there? I smell a rat. Hope I’m wrong, but I just don’t really get why they were shown her room. What’s the reasoning.

Yeah, I find this wrong on so many levels -- the way she words it, at least. That "dying baby" is someone's precious little baby, not a replacement pencil for one she lost. I'm not even sure it's true. I find it hard to believe that her colleagues would've told her at LWH "Oh poor you Lucy, lost a baby? Here you go! Have another dying one instead! It's definitely going to die, so that'll make you feel better." It may be just the way she interprets what her colleagues did at LWH in her twisted little mind.

Someone had previously also mentioned how she refers to them as "her" babies in text messages with colleagues. Like they're her possession or something.
I think they are showing her bedroom for context, to give a bit more of an insight into who she was as a person. It’s not like it was the crime scene but it was where they found evidence. There is also just an element of morbid curiosity isn’t there. I think is the teddy was connected to a baby the prosecution would have raised it as that would have been very significant. I agree that she comes across as very childlike and also agree the reference to the women’s is a connection to where her compulsion started.Very interesting. That diary

You know I always think the worst when it comes to Letby but if a baby’s teddy was found at hers it would be HUGE so don’t think that’s the case at all. Completely agree it’s all very infantile which is odd. At 25, everyone I know was trying to abandon immaturity not cosplaying as 6 year olds.Very interesting. That diary

I’ve just had a quick scan of baby F and there’s this business of the lipid syringe that I’ve never understood. She signs for it in the middle of the night with no co signature. She says in PI, her signing for it suggests she administered it. I wonder if any baby at that time needed a lipid syringe, whether there is any evidence she gave it to anybody at all. Or… that this is the syringe she used to contaminate the TPN bags with insulin. Just can’t see another reason for them mentioning the syringe being signed for by her alone, the night the bags are spiked.

Yeah definitely for context. People originally said it mattered where or how many handover sheets were found because they’re easy to have in your pocket. I think what we’ve discovered, absolutely discounts accidental forgetfulness for a multitude of reasons!!
This one isn't unusual to me, we do it all the time in nursing, 'my patients' or since I work mainly in CYPS we say 'my kids' all the time, or I'll often ask people 'how are you getting on with your kids?' Meaning their allocated patients. Colleagues have always said it too so I'm guessing it's pretty common.
Yep. The under her bed and in a box in her bedroom at her parents is so damming IMO. Regardless of the rationale I have heard that she was keeping them for reflection on what she did to be able to justify her actions. I remember someone else on this thread put it perfectly once that it would be like going to a nurse appointment at your GP practice for a blood test and that nurse taking your results home and storing them under their bed! That’s messed up!
The question is: Would that need have pushed her to kill otherwise healthy babies to recreate that feeling/scenario, and to get the same level of supposed "emotional support" (I interpret this as attention seeking/need for sympathy) from her colleagues at CoCH that she complains in her texts that she got at LWH but wasn't getting at CoCH? It's interesting how she equates the lack of attention she gets from her colleagues at CoCH after a baby dies as a lack of "team spirit". This in itself could be a motive for her to harm babies. And the fact that she attacks Baby C only 6 minutes after she complains about this to a nurse colleague is very telling IMHO.
P.S. Sadly, not ginger or left-handed, but very good at sleeping.

It makes you wonder why she didn't get a job at Liverpool Women's or another tertiary unit, she clearly thought she was too good for Chester. I know in a text to Dr NN she says it's too far but Chester to Liverpool is not very far that she couldn't commute. I think the extra "drama" would only have kept her satisfied a bit longer though and those killer instincts would still have eventually came through.
Knowing Chester and the people so well did help her get away for so long and exploit it's deficiencies.

I was behind in the DM podcast and have caught up. Another thought I had from listening was that LL was always all about making sure the families had opportunities to take lots of photos of their babies after they had died ( were murdered). She would get a camera and the triplets father even commented that LL made sure she found them an SD card with lots of memory. I wonder if this was connected to her FB searching? Like she hoped to see some of the photos? I’m not sure that she was necessary looking for pictures of “dead babies”to quote her words during her during police interviews, but maybe she was looking in the hope that she would see some reference to herself made by the families, like about how amazing she was, so more like an attention seeking thing?

I know it’s been said before, but the excellent way you have worded this does make me think of “I killed them on purpose because I’m not good enough”, like it’s a spiteful statement rather than an innocent anguish.

I had a diary just like hers in my early teens filled with declarations of love for Jamie Redknapp and wishing ill upon Louise Nerding (later Redknapp). I cringe hard when i think about it now 
(although i did burn mine in my back garden in a weird drunken ceremony at 16 to mark the end of my childhood). Mine had a little padlock on, I'm surprised she didn't get herself one of those bad boys.
