None of her texts show her to be a psychopath, I think if it was that obvious from how people text then there’d be far fewer people getting away with awful things! The texts have largely helped create a picture of people, including Letby, pointing out how shocking some of the baby’s deteriorations and deaths have been. I remember for baby D somebody says “but she was getting better?!” These kind of things make BMs job very hard.
There were many that pointed out her bad run, bad luck, horrible shifts. There’s still a theme of poor lucy having a manic time, having an awful shift, that these serious/unusual/rare complications happen to her. That is to be viewed along the witness accounts of the suspicions raised by consultants and there is another layer added to the big picture.
Not remembering anything in police interview would be less interesting if she hadn’t been searching the families a lot, baby K only a short time ago, P&O she does on the anniversary. Or remembering who hung a certain bag but not why she searched someone a few months earlier or what happened before a baby died or why she was alone with a baby she wasn’t designated nurse for or how she came to have a blood gas result for a baby that collapsed literally out of nowhere and miraculously came back to life just before they stopped cpr.
I am really looking forward to what police interpreted from her interviews! I think she’s made quite a few mistakes in them. She says at baby A she suspected he’d been poisoned via the TPN and wanted it checked, alarm bells ringing for sure! Especially as she did nothing but text at work and out of it and never once brought that up.

What I meant was, if she's been murdering babies and in-between attacks has been flirting or messaging people about strictly then that absolutely would show her to be a psychopath.

I'm catching up on a few pages and I can't remember if it's ever mentioned, but does she ever question why she's only on day shifts and not nights?

In the timeline, is she on day shifts only now?

The friends I have that work in the medical world seemed to do a mix of nights/days.

Haven't seen her question it but it's really common for people who prefer nights to be given a stint of days every now and then.

No I think somebody else in a text to her has pointed out that they saw she doesn’t have any nights now. Same person also says we don’t see each other when we’re on shift together anyway as they are always such manic shifts 👀😬

But why include them in an already very long trail that already has information overload. Surely Mr Judge would tell them to get on with it.

It's like they're building up to something.

And why not just get to the point? They've left it like a dum dum dumdumdumdumdumdum Eastenders moment on a Friday!

Anyway it'll all come out in the wash 🙂
Aren’t the text messages part of the agreed facts though so they could have been included at the request of either the prosecution or the defense.
The defense could use them to portray her as a normalish 20 something dating or in a relationship, possibly with Dr Noname. Her reaction to him could be her realizing everything that she's lost, her career, home, friends, dr noname and possibly marriage/kids regardless of whether she is innocent or guilty.
Did Dr noname get cross examined by BM? I can't find anything in any of the reports. Any witness that the defense have agreed with has had a statement read out on their behalf but not this Dr, why? Did BM want him there for LL to react to

BM didn’t cross examine him but he also hasn’t cross examined some other witnesses on the stand either. Prosecution can still call someone to give evidence, perhaps if they want something from their statements explained further. I think Dr Harkness wasn’t cross examined one time.

Here it is, Dr Harkness Child f (insulin!)

Dr Harkness went through quite a lot on the stand then Ben Myers didn’t question him. I’m sure there were the odd other ones too.

Just updating the wiki and on baby K and these messages take on a whole new meaning now we know of Dr Noname and the messages they were swapping for child N.

(Don’t know for certain it’s him but it’s their style!)

A message sent to Letby at 10.04am from a colleague says: 'Hope you had a good shift and are in the land of nod now!'

Letby messages her colleague at 5.48pm: '25wkr delivered so fairly busy...'

The message was in reply to a colleague saying she had hoped the shift had gone well, and expecting she was asleep at that time ('in the land of nod').

Letby adds: 'Everything ok? Not like you not to text back'. The colleague apologises.

You’ve all been on fire today 😂

Maybe Dr Noname has some strong evidence to add on another baby so the texts are included to build a picture of how close they are to add weight to his evidence? Next week will be very interesting 👀

Hi all, coming into this mega late and have been trying to read up on everything over the last couple of days but there's obviously so much to go through. Something I'm not clear on is did any of the babies have post-mortems? I know not all of them did, but if some of them did and they've determined cause of death then I think that will help straighten it all out in my head a bit! If someone could clarify quickly I'd be grateful.

Must be so horrendous for the families. A never-ending nightmare.
