If she's guilty, she'll never admit it. I'm convinced she'll either be not guilty or guilty and never say why she did it.

I don’t think they are saying she is lying or mistaken just for the sake of, just because her account does not match their theory. They said medical notes do not match her account.
They will do, this is the opening statment, they aren’t presenting the actual evidence yet.
Just a general comment that not only is this just the opening statement, but we are also not getting a transcript of what the prosecution actually said. This is not a criticism of the live reporting as they are doing a difficult and excellent job and are not there to provide a transcript but they are often summarising what’s being said into a few sentences. You only have to look at different sources to find different things being reported, and we aren’t going to see the level of detail a jury will.
Part of safety checks at the start of your shift are setting your alarm limits and volumes, however I’ve taken over from a patient where alarm limits are not appropriate to the patient - and some which always have to be on are switched off.
At 9pm mum walked in on letby and blood was coming from babies tube I think it said . she Sent the mother back up and didn’t put that in the notes . Phone records show the mum rang her husband as she was worried .

ive worked on extremely busy wards for 12 hours my daily notes have always been done exactly how the day happened for each patient . I know how much the notes are important any health professionals will tell you the same . So the fact she decides not to write that down is dodgy . Especially when it’s not a normal thing to happen . You would want to cover your own back if anything

I see that the Facebook Armchair Detectives are out in force. I'm not saying that I think she is innocent, but as usual all these people have decided that she's absolutely guilty and are posting about having her publicly executed etc. Trial by media as usual!
I’m wondering if this mum is going to testify as a witness
as if the whole thing isn’t bad enough.It’s happening on both sides. People convinced she’s innocent. Not just because they believe innocent until proven guilty but because they believe the hospital are conspiring to make her a scapegoat or saying maybe the cleaner or another doctor did it. Both extremes are lacking critical thinking skills.
Am I the only one who dosnt find her attractive? She’s more nondescript to me!

I agree. I don’t think she’s an attractive woman in the slightest. She’s just a very beige, boring looking woman. Definitely not attractive or what I’d call good looking or striking in anyway.

Certainly in midwifery the notes must be contemporaneous they cannot be retrospective
When on placement in NICU it was the same

I wouldn't say attractive but in some of those pics from when she was nursing she has what I'd describe as a bit of a (hate to say this) baby face - full cheeks, rounded kind of features and something about her smile makes her look quite young and unassuming.
A few have asked if she had a partner and/or children herself. I don't think she did. I'm sure in news reports a few years ago friends etc described her as quite geeky and awkward.

I definitely don’t think she’s attractive. I think she’s rather plain and gorky looking. I think when people say ‘did she get away with it because she’s attractive’ they mean she’s white, blonde, slim.

She’s coming across as very interfering. It sounds like she was constantly involving herself in the care of babies that had nothing to do with her and then not doing what was asked of her by senior staff. Did she think she knew best and thought of herself as superior?
We can write notes and put written in retrospect. As if my patient needs interventions the last thing I will do is be writing things down. Plus if you’re busy and going to scan you can just document what you have done up to that time. But yeah I couldn’t write in the notes the next day, but it doesn’t have to be real time. Patient safety comes first always.
