Let’s all hope for some detailed reporting this week (that’s allowed) and some clarity to the questions people have. I think the jury will have more info than we can access. Also it still begs the question of if it’s not her then who is it? The police investigation took a long time and I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t contact those who investigated BA all those years ago to get an opinion (just a thought that occurred to me last night as I watched the BA tapes again) so there’s no one else on trail for these incidents and murders and foul play so again it begs the question if it isn’t her as some think she’s innocent then who?
Let’s hope we hear what happened on the day shifts and why she went onto admin

If she guilty I would like to know how she choose her victims, I cant get my head around her watching a parent loose a child then go on to try and murder their other child the next day . Why the other twin? There was other babies on ward it’s like she wanted to inflict the most pain on these parents, like loosing one wasn’t enough for her.
Its horrific and i hope the staff, parents and juror will get support they will need if she’s guilty 💔

Agreed some clarity would be brilliant for all on thread

tbf, the who done it question is a bit unanswerable for any in the unsure or ng frame of mind. Imo

Plenty of posters regardless of how they feel about the case, aren't sure what has gone on with elements of that prosecution are presenting as their evidence, they certainly wouldn't bring in another potential explanation for the insulin.

So what exactly have those who are unsure and not guilty got to work with to be able to answer that question, that doesn't sound like a wild theory at this point? They can only really answer it months down the line when they have the full picture, and even then they probably won't be able to provide a who done it, they might only be able to explain why they feel LL hasn't done it.
Hope that makes sense, I've not had caffeine yet, it is very much needed 😴

In one of the BA documentaries I watched a psychologist who analysed BA said she didn’t believe BA had munchausen syndrome by proxy (only munchusen syndrome), and that the apparent diagnosis of MS by proxy wasnt what compelled allit to commute her crimes. She also said she didn’t think it was anything to do with children (they were just collateral) , but rather it was to harm the parents and she did what she did to feed off their trauma. I think In Letbys case her reasons could have been similar, so it wasnt To do with the babies at all but rather her thriving off the parents emotional responses and that was where she got her kick. Would explain the Facebook searches some what and injecting herself into aftermath of their grief, ie, memory boxes, the messages about the parents etc etc . Also importantly the targeting of multiples.

I also had a thought concerning why she would have searched other parents of babies she hadn’t harmed. Having a baby is particularly traumatic even without your baby being premature, and in neonatal unit. Perhaps, these parents were more obviously emotional and gave her more of attention and emotional responses she expected or wanted or needed. Maybe, they reacted enough to her and their situation that she didn’t feel compelled to do anything to their babies, but still fed off their emotional responses which was why she searched them ? Pure speculation but just a thought.

I think part of it was her wanting to be a high flying nurse that swooped in and dealt with emergencies.. She could have just got a fast paced job working in A&E if that was the case though but the fact that she went back and harmed them 3+ times sways me back to her being a cold blooded killer.

Definitely...I think this too
I also think they wouldn't want another " stepping hill" mistake on their hands, so i don't believe for one the scapegoat theories, just a shame certain things, in hindsight could have maybe stopped her earlier on and made the prosecution more solid...cos sadly I do think some of the stuff we have heard has confused things so much😢

I cannot see how it cannot be her as she was present for all 22 or 24 incidents and no-one else there for more than 7 and some will have been less than 7, as well as all the other things that implicate her. She probably didn't expect her house and phone to be searched.

I would be interested to hear whether she was texting colleagues about any other babies who collapsed or died in the period of the charges? Because there must have been more that have been ruled out because they were expected/explained. Was she obsessively asking about these babies too or just the ones she’s accused of harming?

Every time I see the pampers advert with the premature baby I think of the babies in this case and it breaks my heart. It is such a monstrous crime.

In the defence opening he said that the prosecution created the timeline but they didn’t mention the collapses that happened when LL wasn’t there.
She could quite easily have caused harm to them that had a delayed response like she did with Baby F.

I’ve had my newborn niece for the weekend and all you want to do is make sure they are happy and settled. It’s incomprehensible how someone could hurt a baby.

I have wondered about this... I think maybe A&E would be too drama filled for her and she wouldn't have the quite time she had in the section she was in to revel in the drama.

I can't imagine colleagues in A&E texting non stop about incidents or putting up with a colleague messaging them on their days off.

I don't think she'd get the same attention and sympathy she was getting, plus she definitely wouldn't be able to thrive and feed off the parent's trauma to the extent she was able to in that environment either.

That’s a very good point.
When she mentioned the pulmonary embolism at another hospital (I’m guessing while she was having further training or at a placement) she said how good their support was. I wonder if this is part of her trigger.

That always stuck with me, she mentioned the "lack of team spirit" in a text to a colleague very early on when she wasn't getting her own way and made reference to the supports available in the women's hospital she was training at.

I think something traumatic for all the staff happened there and it ignited something in her. I don't think these babies or this hospital is the beginning of it.

She's very parasitic, she can't fulfill her own needs so she uses other human beings as if they were play things in an attempt to fill the void.

I wonder what it's like for the parents of the twins/triplets where only one baby has lived on birthdays/Christmas etc? Does having the other baby make it better or harder? ☹

even harder when they realised that their babies shouldn’t have died😢. It’s just heartbreaking.

Harder i'm sure. What gets me with the multiple babies, like the triplets, they probably had 3 car seats and a triple pram. Imagine pushing a baby in a triple pram knowing it should have been full.

I can imagine it’s hard either way. I know two people who both sadly lost children and one had no other children and the other had a younger sibling.

The one with the second child had to somewhat keep going for her and are still able to experience being a parent and the joys that come with that. but they are also challenged by the younger sibling now being older than the child they lost. And all special occasions are clouded with the eldest not being there. I imagine with multiples it would be harder because you are celebrating the birthday of one child knowing it’s also the birthday of the child you lost. I believe birthdays are the hardest day for many grieving parents.

The couple I know who lost their only child is completely different though. Birthdays and Christmas they don’t really have any joy now (their words not mine). They only hope for peace on those days. I can’t help but feel their situation is sadder.

God all situations are awful and I’m sure those with other babies and children just wish they could hide for the entire day sometimes but I also think they will be incredibly grateful for having the other children. They will feel all those emotions at once.
