I actually stumbled across a DailyMail article from 2018 when her house was being searched and it went into great detail from anon sources close to her professionally and personally… her parents neighbours, a local shop worker, and someone who knew her via an ex girlfriend all of whom said similar things to “amazing person”… “kind hearted” “dedicated to her job” “she was a delight, her parents adored her”

I will go back and find it and link it - includes some photos of her I haven’t seen. Including one of her dancing on a pole…

Hey me again!
I know we have been over this but there is something else about this text that keeps bothering me!

Letby added, in the message to her mum: "He only weighted 800g...new girl was looking after him, she is devastated."

We can see from her messages (guilty or not guilty), that letby is someone who wanted or needed support after the deaths of the babies, perfectly acceptable given the circumstances. You would think IF innocent she would want her mother to know she was the one there when baby C collapsed if we are to believe she is genuine and JUST struggling as any other person would. This was a message to her mother not a colleague, what reason would she have to lie? She clearly needed her mothers support, and her mother wouldn’t be suspicious it’s a pretty key bit of info to leave out. This to me shows not only is deflecting blame but she is being very clever about it. I know it’s kind of the same argument as I noted before, but I feel that the fact this was a message to her mum is much more telling! I don’t no if I’m explaining My self very well but it keeps going round in my head. It doesn’t seem to fit. Probably because it doesn’t. And she is Guilty!
Yes this was niggling at me too but I couldn’t articulate it! Something like she’s coming across as an attention seeker, yet not mentioning to a single person in messages she was on her own when baby collapsed. Either it means she’s not actually seeking attention (doesn’t really fit for me) or she’s avoiding drawing attention to it.

Cripes this thread has taken a turn!

***See so many women who murder don’t even get in the press it’s actually shocking that’s why people assume it’s men who kill more when women are equally as bad***

Sorry, but absolutely bleeping not. That isn't true at all.
That post quite rightly got deleted. Sadly not before I’d read it and hit the bleeping roof!!!

If guilty, I can see no other explanation. I refuse to believe anyone is born evil. For me people are a product of their environment.

I’ve worked with people that have done some awful things to others, when you hear about some of their histories it gives an explanation for the way they have acted.
I agree with you, people capable of these things must have some personality disorder. Not that it excuses anything, and not to say everyone with a PD is capable of something awful.

it will be interesting to hear what the designated nurse has to say about that night, and whoever was supervising.

Yes! I’m waiting for this. I thought perhaps the last witness was her, but she has finished I believe. Tomorrow will be interesting, though it might be Monday now. They haven’t even got to the police interviews for Baby C yet everything we have noted so far on that is from the opening statement!

On an earlier thread I commented about her colleagues and what is getting to me is even if they knew, they, like us but on a massive scale, been in shock she'd do it.
It's so unimaginable to think lovely Lucy is a serial killer, imagine knowing her.
Having a cuppa with her and drinks on a ward night out.
If you suspected she was guilty, you'd question your own sanity before you believed it because WHO THE duck MURDERS BABIES?!

I've not swayed from guilty and I won't unless something phenomenal comes up, I know it's not the way to judge but it's purely logistical for me, but I'd love to be bleeping wrong. For the families, for her, for many reasons, I do not want to think this woman is a horrific serial killer.

Listen I said what I said but don’t want a debate so removed it as it gets heated in here enough at times . Women do murder aswell and often it’s not even put in the papers

I think the issue behind that statement is that as 'normal' people we can't comprehend what makes someone do this. I'm not sure I believe in innate evil, the nurture/nature debate will always go on, but sometimes people who have no 'excuse' (for want of a better word) do really awful things, and continue doing them until they're caught. Not sure I'm explaining myself very well!

In that BBC link, it shows LLs colleague as saying it was strange because baby was small and compromised in utero etc. I think that was the message that was initially recorded as LL saying it initially and the colleague saying they were all similar. If BBC is right (assuming this was one of the corrected texts they're referred to either earlier or yesterday) then I find it more telling that LL said they were all similar. Was that a Freudian slip or did she just mean that they were similar because they all crashed suddenly out of nowhere. Especially as colleague appeared suspicious and then said ignore me, just speculating

I get that- and sometimes interesting discussions and views being shared comes out of it and I take some of what you said on board. Some of this feeds in to how Lucy might be portrayed too.

But it’s wrong to suggest that women are as bad as men when it comes to murders. That is plainly untrue. 3 women a week are killed by partners and ex partners. A horrifying statistic that is getting worse. My friend was murdered by her boyfriend when we were 16, and I’m sure a lot of us can offer a story of someone we know who’s been killed this way. So it’s wrong to suggest it’s an equal problem. It’s not. There are lot of good resources online that will educate you on the systemic problem of male violence against women and girls.

Just dipping in and out this thread as it moves very quickly and I find it a bit much.

I believe from what I know of court cases, When all the babies cases are presented, then they’ll move onto ‘motive’ and whilst I don't know what that will be there will be one the prosecution will present.

It’s helps to ‘prove’ that someone committed a crime, by telling the jury why they did it. Motive is an important part of cases. For instance is someone commits fraud the prosecution would go into great detail about the reason they needed the money, debt etc. Its to establish guilt beyond reasonable doubt.

I have a hunch all these parents or babies have something in common. And it’s Not just that the babies where vulnerable. As we’ve already heard once (so far) LL left the baby she was caring for that was in fact more high risk to go to one of the victims, basically leaving an easy kill.

I’ve been Guilty from day one on this, Its the sheer amount of evidence the CPS would have to have to bring this to court for this many deaths/attempted, this is a trail that will cost millions in man power alone. CPS want a 90% chance of conviction. And nearly 20 charges is a lot of 90%s.

There’s a lot more to come sadly I think.

God bless the families and babies.

Obviously being born a psychopath perhaps doesn’t equal as being evil. Even though someone scoring high on the PCL-R checklist/test means they would for example be; manipulative, a pathological liar, lack of empathy and remorse, have a parasitic lifestyle and a grandiose sense of self-worth.

Now if you met a person with all those ‘qualities’ most likely it wouldn’t be a person you’d want to make your best friend. But perhaps without the right or wrong nudges in life it won’t make you or what you do evil. But surely the path to evil is one you could easily take.

Obviously not saying LL is a so called psychopath.

This is interesting because you would think she would lean on her mum for a little bit of support and open up to her. She was clearly very close to them so it’s curious that more wasn’t said, she hasn’t mentioned being involved unless we just haven’t heard about it.

I understand that but an awful lot isn’t said about abuse towards men and I’m true in what I’m saying . Domestic abuse happens both ways in fact men don’t speak out about it as Much . I didn’t explain myself as well as i should hence why I deleted it . But I still stand by what I say when a woman kills it’s hardly spoke about in fact it’s hardly even put in the papers .

And you just proved that with everything you just said not once in that statement did you mention about looking at domestic violence against men . And I’m sure many can offer you story about men that have been abused by a partner . It happens to MEN aswell !!!

I despair at what you’ve just put- I really do. It’s on men to change the patriarchal system that they uphold and benefit from.

Domestic violence happens to men and women . It’s not talked about much with men in fact was a documentary about it not long ago . Anyway this thread isn’t about that I’ve removed my comment and I don’t want a debate and getting jumped on forget I mentioned anything .

When you look at the numbers below it’s really shocking to me, nearly the same amount of deaths in two years as from the whole time period starting 2009 … did that number stop when LL was investigated in 2016 🤢
I don’t know how reliable those figures are given the initial investigation was into 17 deaths between March 2015 and July 2016.
