She can’t be that surprised that running 2 marathons and an ultra back to back has led to an injury?!?
She never has any rest days after her marathons either. Rest and recovery are just as important and training days.

I’ve run a 2:51 marathon according to strava. My actual pb is 2:54 at London. I would never ever quote the strava one!!! (In fact I just had to go in and see what it said it was)

I’m surprised she wasn’t quicker to be honest. V surprised! Obviously still a very rapid time but I just think the training and athlete mindset / history would get her there.
Wholeheartedly agree. She was very vocal about going sub 2:54 but never really seemed to be on for that? Either she was aiming for a negative split or maybe last minute change of plan. And the "heat" that melted my UK mates won't have bothered her with training in Texas. Will be interesting to read her right up.

FTR my "strava" marathon time is 2:49. I am absolutely nowhere near that! Cheers canary wharf for the mid marathon 4 min miles 😉😂😂

Their egos are too big to rest. Watching a vlog from a few weeks ago, she says she’s pulled out of a HM and she’s never had to pull out a race before but then says she had to pull out the marathon last year 🤷🏼‍♀️

Also why does he always post pics and videos of him with cigars? Interesting for a health and fitness person. I know we all have our vices… but smoking?!?!
I don’t follow him and just checked his instagram out. I really can’t stand the way him and Lucy dress. I don’t know what it is but it just gives me the ick.

i also think ben has done something based on those comments from the podcast but surely if he had cheated on her her best friend (stefanie) wouldn’t still be speaking to him!? we were all right though when we’ve said previously she would thrive without him 🤣

Yes, good luck doing all these events when you’re pregnant or with a newborn. Or a toddler, or a school kid. On the plus side she will be forced to rest a bit and might recover from all the injuries !

She’s talking about recovering from a marathon and none of it is remotely useful. Basically get changed out your PJs, put your make up on, eat. And then maybe rest. But if you’re her go for a 10k run?! Wtf?!
Such a stupid video 😂 I feel like she often just opens her mouth and rambles without thinking anything through

Ben seems to be posting as normal and he even sent an email out with no mention of it at all. I know he’s a prick but I find it odd that he’s not even addressed it now that Lucy has confirmed

I eek a little bit every time she talks about having kids like it's just a given but I've experienced fertility struggles and IVF so probably am generally more negative than average.

The latter wouldn’t surprise me, but I can’t help but feel all these fitfluencers just won the genetic lottery. So while they work hard on their physique, I don’t think they can possibly understand how hard it is for others, especially factoring in time available to train etc. The idea that someone with a six pack makes a good coach needs to die already.

I doubt she would do that. When she did her ultra she said she was in a bad place mentally as all the running made her lose much of her muscle mass, so I doubt she’d want to 100% focus on running
Did she say she was in a bad place mentally, because of the loss muscle mass? If her body image/exercise/diet issues are that bad, how would she ever cope with pregnancy and the changing body shape during that time period.

she’s posted she came off the pill in august and only just got her period back during the speed project? i know it can take a bit of time for things to regulate post pill but to me it seems unhealthy that it’s taken so long for her cycle to come back.. i don’t think it’s a far reach to think she’s just admitted she overtrains/underfuels

I feel like it’s a shame that Lauren has been overlooked in comparisons to Lucy (I know she’s pro wc) but the way it’s being promoted just seems unfair.

It does seem like there needs to be definitive differences between pro and open to keep it fair. Maybe the change to qualifying for worlds will make a difference
Agreed. I don’t think either of them should be doing Open tbh.

I always thought he was extremely supportive and proud of Lucy and her achievements. He's a very strong alpha male and seems to say what he thinks which some dont like but it doesn't make him a bad person. Lucy seems to have done some amazing things with him by her side . Relationships end for lots of reasons and the only people that know are the ones in it.

I’m did swimming at national level and she’s definitely overtraining with the running and hyrox. Swimmers can train so much because it’s so low impact I don’t ever remember getting any injuries. We had maybe 9 water sessions a week and max 2 land weight conditioning. If you look at her shoulders you’ll see ex swimmers swinging them more regular runners (if you ever watch a triathlon it’s so noticeable) so she’s bound to have some issues. I also remember sleeping constantly on days I did have rest and as said above that’s why it’s only viable to keep going until your early 20s
